Explanation of How to Reduce Road Accidents: Dr. Shriniwas Kashalikar
Explanation of How to Reduce Road Accidents: Dr. Shriniwas Kashalikar

Introduction:

Apart from many obvious causes; the major cause of accidents and related problems; is excessive production and marketing of small vehicles of individual use (small cars and two wheelers) instead of vehicles (buses, trams, trains) of comfortable mass transport. The immediate step to reduce the road accidents is improvement of public (mass) transport by quantitative and qualitative improvement in production, marketing, maintenance, frequency and service of buses, trams and trains etc. All the following and such many ideas and their effective implementation are born out of, evolved through and empowered by NAMASMARAN, which is a simple, inexpensive and universal way of self realization.

Before taking steps it is essential to realize that excessive increase in number of vehicles on roads (apart from other overemphasized factors) leads to increase in the number of vehicular accidents and causes: congestion and unnecessary load on traffic control system, commensurate increase in fuel consumption causing chemical pollution and also in import expenses; leading to increase of fuel prices and subsequent increase in the food prices, increase in wear and tear of roads, increase in accidents due to bad condition of roads, increase in the maintenance expenses and disturbance and delay to smooth traffic, increase in noise pollution results due to; blowing of horns; which is especially troublesome; to hospitals, schools, and other places; where silence is essential, traffic jams adding to further increase in fuel consumption and wastage of time, disastrously affecting the performance and/or productivity of the people of different occupations, increase in vehicular exhaust causing global warming, load on local trains and other means of public transport [where ever available] and consequent accidents, quarrels and mishaps, increase in tardiness in the traffic and increase in anxiety and tension, further increasing the quarrels, traffic crimes the number and severity of accidents and difficulty in providing medical aid (and disaster management) due to difficulty in movement of ambulances and fire fighters, reduction in eco-friendly bicycles production and sale, due to “imposing and threatening” presence of cars, motorcycles, rickshaws, scooters, increase in wasteful work; such as insurance, registration and traffic policing, increase (due to difficulty in enforcing law and order) riots, thefts etc due to slowing of police movement, excessive production of un-degradable solid waste, increase in cement or asphalt roads at the cost of irreplaceable trees (extremely important for avoiding global warming, pollution, rain and organic manure) and open earth surface (extremely important and vital for absorbing and holding rain water) and unnecessary disruption of the natural habitat of the animals.

Steps
1. Verify the facts described in the introduction by collecting relevant statistics from your own region as well as other cities in developed and developing countries about road accidents.
2. Calculate how the number of small vehicles increases on road due to 1 to 4 persons traveling per vehicle as against 30 to 40 people traveling in buses or hundreds of people traveling in metros and trains.
3. Give a feedback, through email, twit or other ways; to the policy makers about how controlled production and promotion of small vehicles due to either lack of policy or a wrong policy and its implementation; increase problems; apart from the road accidents.
4. Spread the above fact and the fact that diseased model of individualistic progress promotes multiplication of small vehicles of individual transport, which is detrimental to common global welfare; extensively through possible means.
5. Share extensively the the fact that this is one of the fall outs of mismanaged stress, which leads to psychological, neurological, endocrine and metabolic disturbances, which are reflected in the accident prone driving and wrong policy making.
6. Practice NAMASMARAN, which is a simple way of meditation to overcome stress, which otherwise leads to frustration and withdrawal or delirium and malevolence and direct or indirect support and promotion of policies responsible for multiplying accidents.
7. While sharing this solution with others; frankly admit that it has to be further buttressed by adding suitable details and/or refinement by the conscientious and enlightened experts in this field.
8. Make determined efforts; as otherwise it is difficult to influence policies; as in absence of eradicating the root; the problem will continue to will keep getting aggravated, even if many other piecemeal measures are taken.

Tips
Try to look at the suggestions objectively so that you can appreciate their importance, effectiveness and urgency.

Warnings

Remember that one wrong policy leads to multiple evils.
Remember that we tend to underestimate our capacity to influence wrong policies and indirectly support them.

How to reduce Road Accidents: Dr. Shriniwas Kashalikar
How to reduce Road Accidents: Dr. Shriniwas Kashalikar

Introduction
Apart from many obvious causes; the Major cause of accidents and related problems; is excessive production and marketing of small vehicles of individual use (small cars and two wheelers) and instead of vehicles (buses, trams, trains) of comfortable mass transport. The immediate step to reduce the road accidents is improvement of public (mass) transport by quantitative and qualitative improvement in production, maintenance, frequency and service of buses, trams and trains etc. All the following and such many ideas and their effective implementation are born out of, evolved through and empowered by NAMASMARAN.

Steps
# Understand that excessive increase in number of vehicles on roads (apart from other overemphasized factors) leads to increase in the number of vehicular accidents and causes
1.congestion and unnecessary load on traffic control system.
2.There is commensurate increase in fuel consumption causing chemical pollution and also in import expenses; leading to increase of fuel prices and subsequent increase in the food prices.
3.The wear and tear of roads increases. Consequently there is increase in accidents due bad condition of roads as well as increase in the maintenance expenses and disturbance and delay to smooth traffic.
4. Excessive increase in noise pollution results due to; blowing of horns; which is especially troublesome; to hospitals, schools, and other places; where silence is essential.
5. Traffic jams adding to further increase in fuel consumption and wastage of time, disastrously affecting the performance and/or productivity of the people of different occupations.
6. Increase in vehicular exhaust causing global warming.
7. Excess of load on local trains and other means of public transport [where ever available] and consequent accidents, quarrels and mishaps
8. Overall increase in tardiness in the traffic and increase in anxiety and tension, further increasing the quarrels, traffic crimes the number and severity of accidents and difficulty in providing medical aid (and disaster management) due to difficulty in movement of ambulances and fire fighters.
9. The Eco-friendly bicycles production and sale suffers due to “imposing and threatening” presence of cars, motorcycles, rickshaws, scooters etc.
10. Excessive production of vehicles; is associated with; unproductive and wasteful work; such as insurance, registration and traffic policing!
11. Increase (due to difficulty in enforcing law and order) riots, thefts etc due to slowing of police movement
12. Excessive production of un-degradable solid waste.
13. The need and construction of excessively wide and cement or asphalt roads at the cost of irreplaceable trees (extremely important for avoiding global warming, pollution, rain and organic manure) and open earth surface (extremely important and vital for absorbing and holding rain water) and unnecessary disruption of the natural habitat of the animals.
# Understand that one wrong policy and its implementation can cause and increase several problems in society; apart from road accidents.
# Understand that this is one of the fallouts of mismanaged stress.Stress if not managed properly; leads to defects in regulation, control, coordination, harmony, efficiency inside and outside us. Stress leads to hundreds of psychological, neurological, endocrine and metabolic disturbances, which are reflected in the behavior also. One of the defective aspects of disturbed behavior is accident proneness and defective driving behavior and the other is wrong policy making.
# Understand that many of us; the sufferers; who are so much stressed and are unable manage it; fall victim to the diseased model of progress that promotes multiplication of small vehicles of individual transport. They can’t even identify and understand the defect in the policy responsible for the increase in the number and severity accidents. The stress seems to have made us incapacitated, inactive, indifferent, apathetic, cynical and frustrated; that we refuse to; or are unable to participate rectifying the causes responsible for accidents and their complications. Thus, we indirectly support and promote defective policies and their implementation multiplying accidents.
# Share this understanding with others through social media and other means.
# Understand that the prevalent dominance of individualistic model of progress is detrimental and has to replaced by a concept of individual and global blossoming.
# Understand that this may appear difficult and in fact it is. Hence determined efforts to share this preliminary solution at least in principle is essential. It has to be further buttressed by adding suitable details and/or refinement by the conscientious experts in this field.

Tips
* Many measures are taken to reduce the accidents; but in absence of eradicating the root; the problem will continue to will keep getting aggravated.
* Try to look at the suggestions objectively so that you can appreciate their importance, effectiveness and urgency.
* This observation about the accidents may appear naive; because of our own selfishness.

WINGS OF PAIN: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
WINGS OF PAIN: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Student: Sir, what do you mean by “wings of pain”?

Teacher: We respond to pain and its grave consequences (such as physical helplessness and death) by resentment, anxiety and fear.

Sooner or later the shell of delirium and misery; in absence and presence of pain respectively; breaks open and; we the birds begin to fly with NAMASMARAN and GURUKRUPA, which I call the “wings of pain”!

Emergency Laproscopic Hernia Surgery
Fifty five years old female patient came to me with swelling in Umbilical region since two Years. She had no pain initially hence she Ignored it. As swelling increase, she started getting mild pain and one day she landed up in emergency with severe pain & vomiting. She described that her pain was like delivery pain – wave pattern of severe pain due to intestines trapped in the hernia.
Two option of emergency surgery – open or Laproscopic (key hole) surgery were given to patient. She choose to undergo Laproscopic Surgery as that is relatively painless during post operative period and also the scar is cosmetic.

PRACTICAL BENEFIT OF NAMASMARAN DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
PRACTICAL BENEFIT OF NAMASMARAN DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Student: Sir, what is the practical benefit of NAMASMARAN for a person and society?

Teacher: Through NAMASMARAN we gradually overcome our petty selfishness and become happy in victory (e.g. in election). We know that it is a win-win situation and begin to work for common welfare.

In absence of this; we tend to get hysterically excited with victory and get lost in the frenzy of accomplishing vested interests; at the cost of others.

Passing blood in stools
Mr. B______, a 50 year old patient from Saudi Arabia came to me with bleeding while passing stools (also read this interesting case ) since childhood. He was often treated for piles in his country but there was no relief. Ultimately being frustrated with his disease, he came to India. He was skinny and pale. I examined his anal canal but did not see any plies. There appeared some mass in rectum. I posted him for colonoscopy. Almost whole of his colon from rectum to cecum was involved with multiple small grape like growths called polyps. I biopsied few of them and they came benign. The diagnosis of Multiple colonic polyposis was established.

PROTECTION OF NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
PROTECTION OF NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Student: Sir, it is often said that NAMASMARAN protects us. There are stories about this; in mythology also. But is it not true that people suffer and die whether they practice NAMASMARAN or not?
Teacher: Protection does not mean the protection of body. It means protection of restful awareness in remembrance of NAMA even as body falls sick, gives pain and dies. However initially this is difficult to appreciate because of the rigid involvement in bodily pains and pleasures.

PAIN AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
PAIN AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Student: Sir, I find NAMASMARAN quite ineffective in pain. How to reconcile this inefficacy with the so called omnipotence?
Teacher: This is because;
Firstly; when we practice NAMASMARAN, we are hardly involved in NAMA. We are still involved in body consciousness and hence we are miserable.
Secondly; NAMASMARAN is not a pain killer. It does not kill pain. It kills “I”! Hence expecting it to work as a pain killer is erroneous and illusory.
Thirdly; it is omnipotent in an indirect sense as an ultimate controller and not as an actual doer.
Lastly; NAMASMARAN relieves us from entrapment of “I”, which is a source of all miseries. But this does not happen at once or with any specific rule, pattern or a time table.

SPIRITUAL INFRASTRUCTURE: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
SPIRITUAL INFRASTRUCTURE: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Student: What is spiritual infrastructure?
Teacher: It is the essential foundation of economic and social infrastructure.
Student: Can you explain?
Teacher: Roads, bridges, railway, electricity, telecommunication; etc. constitute economic infrastructure; and play an important role in progress.
But healthcare facilities, housing, drinking water, schools i.e. social infrastructure is equally important.
Student: Is this not enough?
Teacher: No! If the perspective, ideology, thinking, feeling, motivation and behavior; are conducive to fanatic sectarian development; then social and economic infrastructures become destructive to us; as well as to the others; as evident in so called developed countries. Hence it is essential to work; on the spiritual infrastructure; simultaneously.
Student: How can we develop spiritual infrastructure?
Teacher: The spiritual infrastructure can be developed if there is a simple and inexpensive common minimum program that can be acceptable to different ideologies and religions.
Student: Such as?
Teacher: One such program is; remembering the name of God and reorienting to one’s true self; called JAP, JAAP, JIKRA, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN i.e. NAMASMARAN. It can be introduced in every nook and corner of the world; to everyone irrespective of age, sex, occupation, religion, race, nationality etc.

Inflammatory bowel disease
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is not a single disease. The term IBD is used mainly to describe two diseases:

Crohn’s disease
ulcerative colitis

Both Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic (long-term) diseases that involve inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract (gut). However, there are important differences between the two.
