Our politicians and Bureaucrats always think that if the people and public are not getting good health service in Hospitals, is because of Doctors, they have a strong believe that Doctors donot work for sufficient hours in hospitals as they stay in hospitals for less hours so people donot get their presence so their health problem is not properly cared. So in one stroke in Delhi both central and state Government and even in few states our Babus and mantris have orders that there will be 12 hours OPD in Delhi Hospitals.

Such dictatory surmon is like the same order as there is a scarcity of Doctors in hospital so Government is pressing MCI or NMC bill where Homeopaths or Ayush doctors will be changed into modern medicine doctors by a bridge course or in many hospitals such doctors or physiotherapist or dentists or even nurses are being permitted to have a practical training in modern medicine many clinical department and to practice medicines particularly in rural setup.

While ordering such orders they forget that they always need opinion of super specialists for the minor problem of their family members if such specialists are not available in these hospitals they donot go there at all but move to nearby private hospitals or other metro hospitals or AIIMS in Delhi.Recently at AIIMS a private surgeon from private hospital was called to transplant Kidney of union finance Minister Arun jaitely ji showing thumb to all prestigious urologist and nephrologist of premier hospital of our country called as AIIMS but they are administrators, powerfuls  so they have every right to choose the best but let other fellow countrymen specially rural people have to satisfy with substandard as they want to correct their books of Doctor Population ratio on paper for media and international repute.

our learned judges, bureaucrats and even parliamentarians  need holidays on saturday and sunday ,long leave of summer and winter vaccation as they work round the year then their efficiency is lost but Doctors are machines they have no heart or brain needing relaxation for good working so they must be working more than 12 hours in a day.

Such order is slap on freedom ,mental and physical relaxation of a Doctor ,in no case Doctor should be allowed to work more than 8 hrs and that too in single opd round the week is not good ,they need rotational duty in opd and indoor beside ding surgical, reserach and other procedure as lab work .If Our Government want to serve people really in good sense then in budget health allocation should be increased from 1% of GDP to 2-3 % ,more and more doctors, paramilitary staff, nurses should be recruited, more free medicines and investigation fcility should be increased.

If more Doctors and staffs are there of course Government can provide service in opd for 12 hours or even 24 hrs as in emergency ward ,who prevents Government to do noble work but to increase duty hours without increasing number of staff, facilities and medicines is nothing but to submit doctors before public for humiliation and beating beside earning bad name and fame in department and media.Hugh money is spent by bureaucrats, ministers and parliamentarians or MLAs in their travelling allownace in India and abroad, their concessional meals, staying and acquiring government  facilities for themselves and their family members including life long pension what to talk of earning in black by commissions and favourism in many projects.

What is opinion regarding such sermons of Government in your state or centre for duty hours and working style of Doctors in Government or private sector ? please write here.
