 Violence against Doctors and Hospitals mostly in Private setup but now almost equal in Government set up is commonly seen almost all over India.Every person attending Emergency or in OPD  or IPD aggrieved of so called  not getting adequate quality investigations ,treatment or cure of disease as per his/her expectation or understanding resort to attack Doctors attending or treating with all possible means available to them starting from shouting,calling in name,blows,beating with ,stones,bricks,lathi,rod or or any sharp weapon or lethal firearm available.

           In no time an assembly of few persons present as family members or called by them or surrounding persons join hand together and start beating Doctor mercilessly without understanding the exact problem or knowing reality and the cause of incidence as if DOCTORS are in noble work of healing so cant react or inflict injury in retort.Even if Doctors protect themselves by hiding then they damage Hospital property as reception, waiting gallery,decorative gardes,gate ,wards and even Labs and OT etc using all type of weapons as mentioned above/

        Usually nearby persons may video shoot such incidences on their mobile or called Media will start live reporting with running commentary.Mostly Police reach to these spots quite late or even comes then just donot act immediately and mostly act as mediators to striking or agitating Doctors stopping work after 2-3 days of incidence where offenders are hardly arrested what to talk of getting them punished in court by making a good charge sheet after a proper detailed enquiry as Police,Politicians or law makers ,Press all think Doctors are directly responsible for any untoward lapse in treatment or cure at hospital or of any charge incurred in PVT Hospitals without justification any charge becomes excessive and the best way for not paying this is starting violence or labelling accusation for no authentic reason.Politicians often make such derogatory law as passed By West Bengal Assembly to blame and punish Doctors on simple complain of persons before non medical bureaucrat or Priminister accusing medical establishments for high price of treatment and gagging Doctors through Health ministry,MCI or IMA to write purely generic name of medicines where no medicine in branded or generic market as Purely Generic Medicine is available,all as Branded generic even in Generic market. 

            Such luke warm response of law enforcing agency even after strict laws by many State and Central Government,attacks on Doctors are very common and is the commonest way of protest against doctors "Take Law in hand and beat Doctors and Damage Hospital property".Therefore,today Lucknow Nursing Home Association a body Under UP Nursing & Pvt Hospital Association has  constitued a "Quick Response Team" for welfare of member Doctors and Hospitals across Lucknow and was inaugrated by CMO of Lucknow.

           Team consists of bouncers and one gun man. There Base station will be LNHA bahwan. QRT team will visit member establishment thrice in 24 hrs to inspect security and will flag march. In case any member doctors finds threat and makes a call to QRT team the team will reach within shortest time to that nursing home to diffuse the situation. QRT team will coordinate with local police also in unwarranted situation and all efforts will made to save doctor from violence.The QRT is a six -member team of security personnel that will work from June 1, 8 hours a day, and will be replaced by subsequent teams (18 members in all) to complete the 24-hour cycle.

          Self protection is the best protection.For resident and junior Doctors as they are mostly first bear the violence of Offenders,now a self protecting training of karate,Kufo and boxing has been initiated in some government setup.Even security persons are present in many hospitals but they even cannot prevent such violence,so this appears the best way of protecting Doctors and hospitals.

                     Most government hospitals and even many private hospitals in group in a localised area of big cities or towns of should constitute such team as it is urgently needed and it should work in synergy with  local police and law enforcing agency and health department as will prevent persons taking law in hands and protect Doctors and hospitals otherwise most doctors and hospitals will afraid of treating serious or otherwise patients in compromised facilities taking full risk on their selves for ommissions of Government and other Administrating Departments or strike and agitation of doctors will parlayse our health system regularly even at some intervals whenever doctor or Hospitals attacked.All State,central Government,Pvt Hospitals and Doctor and Hospital's Association ,Health ministry,IMA,MCI etc should also enfodrse it as soon as possible.
