ALLEGATION OF CORRUPTION OF THOUSAND CRORES IN RECOGNITION OF MEDICAL COLLEGES AGAINST MCI VIA POLITICIANS

“The Centre has given permission to 70 medical colleges and corruption to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore is assumed to have taken place in giving MCI clearance to these colleges. It seems that sanction to these medical colleges was given bypassing the Supreme Court-appointed Lodha Commission to check corruption,”in Kerala, opposition leader in the Assembly Ramesh Chennithala alleged it and demanded a probe by a Supreme Court judge into the alleged corruption in getting MCI clearance to a private medical college in the state.

        He said that the period of Lodha Commission ended on May 15. The order for sanction of the colleges was issued on May 31, So a Supreme Court judge should probe the scam to bring out the truth into the allegations.he BJP in Kerala came under cloud after a purported internal report stated that a party functionary, R S Vinod, took an amount of Rs 5.60 crore for getting the Medical Council of India’s clearance to a private medical college at Varkala. However, the BJP’s state unit leadership maintained that it was a “financial fraud committed by an individual” and the party and its leaders had nothing to do with it. The saffron party had also expelled Vinod, a convener of its cooperative cell, from the primary membership soon after the allegation surfaced in the media.

             Even the chairman of the said medical college accepted that he has paid Rs.5.6 crores to RS Vinod, the former BJP Convenor, Cooperation Cell, to get the apex education regulator, the Medical Council of India’s approval for his medical college and called it as consultancy fee not a bribe.He clearly told through mr vinod he gave money t mr satish who is instrumental kingpin for MCI recognition of many medical colleges this time too.

        So if we get a small iota of truth in it than this time too MCI or Health Ministry recognised many Medical colleges against Money as few colleges with very poor infrastructures has been recognised and why letter of permission given on 30th may after expiry of term of SC appointed Lodha Committee on 15th may raise a serious question and is a kind of contempt of highest court of land.Our PMO which boost of somuch transparency and no corruption must investigate it and Supreme Court should take a pain to investigate this fraud of thousand crores to clean our medical education once for all as it did by bringing NEET as when matter of thousand crores corruption comes our MCI or Government or Politicians and Bureaucrats can be trusted seeing their past record.

       Will our SC or PMO take a suo moto investigation in this scam of thousand crores ?
