However there is general lack of awareness negligence during the initial stages and poor compliance for treatment. It is our endeavor to discuss and deliberate on various aspects of venous disease including latest diagnostic tools and minimally invasive therapeutic options. The prevalence and prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis will be covered in detail and controversies in the management of established case will be discussed by the experts. The management of venous ulcer is another area which needs attention and an exclusive session will be held to focus in this topic. The faculty will include international experts from across the globe and they will be joined by local leaders with in the country. I am glad to inform you that the third annual conference of Venous Association of India will be held at Hotel Capitol Bangalore on 22nd and 23rd January 2009.

Around 250 venous enthusiasts from all over the country are expected to attend this meeting which will deliberate on many issues related to venous disorder. The faculty will include experts from India and abroad who will share their rich knowledge and expertise among the delegates. There will be separate CME program for postgraduates and workshop for the nurses and paramedics.
