I had a Retinal detachment in my right eye on Jan.10, after that i had my Scleral Buckling Surgery + Cryotherapy + Gas Under Guarded Visual Prognosis on 8.01.010. After 1 month of surgery i again had a retinal detachment. On 13.02.10 i had my second surgery done in which Silicon oil was placed in to my eyes. Doctor prescribed me  steroid "Omnacortil" for 12 days but it had a very bad side effects. I felt pain on my left side of the body specially in my left leg with Red spots on it. I just wanted to know how much time this pain will be there. My Dr. told me that it will go after some time.

Dear Mr Naidu,
Oral steroids (omnacortil) are commonly given if condition warrants .
If it is causing some sideeffects please consult your surgeon again to change from oral medication to either systemic or peribubar steroids.
Please don't stop med of your own , it may harm you more.
With regards
Dr Mongre.
