For early determination and detection of genetic disorders such as cancers, cardio, inheritance diseases, micro genomic, pharmacogenomics  and reproductive disorders, Delhi’s Seeds of Innocence, under Yashoda Superspeciality hospital, has launched GeneKart, a Genetic Testing and Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory located at Malviya Nagar, New Delhi.  The facility was launched by India’s Health Minister JP Nadda. The laboratory is equipped with all necessary high end equipment like Nextgen, Sequencer, Thermal Cyclers, Real Time PCR, and other supporting machines.Patients can avail the facility for between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000, which is very low compared to foreign countries. The cost of these tests done in foreign countries is around Rs two lakhs. The centre claims that the success rate of the tests in Genekart is 80 per cent.        Mr Nadda lauded the efforts of the hospital for providing such a service at affordable prices in the private sector after Delhi-AIIMS and Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. He said that early detection through Genekart is a best possible methodology to reduce the chance to the disease and to have a better quality life.
