The central council of Indian medicine (CCIM) under the Ayush ministry has proposed an amendment to the preconception and pre-natal diagnostic techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994 to allow Ayurveda doctors to perform sonography and imaging tests on patients.The proposed amendments were sent to the health and family welfare ministry on September 19 this year.This has been strongly opposed by the Indian radiology association which has decided to move the court.

              Dr Vanitha R, CCIM national president, said the amendment would be most beneficial to rural patients where there is a dearth of doctors and where Ayurvedic doctors practice in large numbers.“The 11 executive committee members had a detailed discussion in this regard on August 27 and we have chalked out our proposal.” said Dr Vanitha.Dr Kuldeep Kohli, director, Ayush (Maharashtra) said, “Given the dearth of radiologist and sonologist in India, more than 50% machines are being shut down in the country due to misuse. It is important that doctors from other branches of medicine forms are given permission to practice radiology and sonology. Allowing Ayush doctors to perform sonography under amended PCPNDT Act would be a revolutionary step.”

.              Indian radiology association has decided to move court over Ayush ministry’s central council of Indian medicine’s proposal to amend the pre-conception and pre-natal diagnostic techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994.
1. Proposed six months training in imaging and radiology after MD in Ayurveda not enough when allopathy doctors have to spend two to three years after the MBBS degree to be qualified to open a scan centre 
2. Making amendments can prove dangerous to public health due to miss diagnosis resulting in wrong treatment increasing morbidity and mortality,sex ratio may be changed as PCPNDT will be diluted and with such hugh practitioners in villages and rural area check and balance will be impossible.

              From the very beginning it is evident that OLD AYUSH therapy comprising Ayurved,Homeopathy,Unani, Siddha,Magnet,Acupressure,Accupuncture,Naturopathy  etc are dying itself as they are not advancing with the time and accumulating  Modern investigations and therapeutics on sufficient well documented and scientific prooven tests originated from that therapy.No doubt they are helpful on some diseases better than modern medicine but they cant explain it on patho phsiolocally depicting Human anatomical & Biochemical changes.All are judged and justified on result which also varies in different persons in different studies.Therefore they are more hypothetical than a true science or law. 

                        Therefore if AYUSH persist or if Our government want it to continue than it should be continued on it's leg,infrastructure and therapy as our Government say that these Doctors reside in villages and rural areas where many modern medicine doctors donot want to stay is essential but it is sad but true story that Most Ayush doctors in these villages or those in town or cities investigate patients by Modern medicine Biochemical, patho,microbiology,radiological  tests and write Modern medicines which is nothing but a quackry and illegal as per our Supreme Court.Why they donot evolve their way of investigations and strict to their medicines only ? No reactions ,no serious side effects are simple misinterpretation and they persist in India as many illiterate and semi educated or so called sadhus and baba too practice it as Justice is delayed in India,so immediate and serious punishment not awarded to offenders as done in USA or UK resulting its wide practice in India where human life is risked  at the altar of such illegal healers. 

                              Now the associataion of this AYUSH under Ayush Ministry want to establish it again among public by trying it's best to merge with MBBS some time by bridge courses,some time by permission to write modern medicine and now by having a permission to do Sonography by a six month course in the name of rural and village service and later for permission to do all patho,bio and micro tests by such courses but such quackary may correct specialist doctor population on papers but will endanger human life badly,Sex ratio will be affected badly by such quacks and reputation of Indian doctors which is at high in world will go down markedly resulting no patients from abroad will come to India for a treatment which is a billion money industry now.
