THE PURSUIT DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
The pursuit of universalization of NAMASMARAN is actually; aiming at realization or manifestation; of already existing but unperceived unity and harmony in the world.
It is a pursuit towards inviting and including; everybody; in the joyous and melodious universal orchestra of individual and universal blossoming. It is a pursuit of manifesting; the mammoth potential embodied in NAMASMARAN; of superliving or holistic renaissance i.e. holistic perspective, holistic policy making, holistic planning, holistic programs and their universal implementation!
This target may appear to some; as utopian; as it may or may not ensure immediate results; in terms of; all the seven thousand millions individuals practicing NAMASMARAN; and/or understanding, accepting and internalizing this potential of NAMASMARAN!
But this pursuit even if unfulfilled; in itself; is rejuvenating and empowering. It unites us with the life in the universe! It connects us with the process of universal blossoming. We are no more isolated fragile individuals.
It reinforces and consolidates our own conviction (and in the course of time our own experience); in the practice of NAMASMARAN (jikra, jap, jaap, sumiran, simaran; i.e. remembering true self).
Thus; both; this pursuit (whether accomplished or not); and the practice of NAMASMARAN, are empowering and rejuvenating; and ensure; the moment to moment; victorious Total Stress Management! This is a way; as well as a heavenly destination; open to all; irrespective of their race, religion, region and theist or atheist ideologies.

STRESS AND GURUKRUPA DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
Gurukrupa is eternal connection with super consciousness or immortality. It enters our life; in the form of practice of NAMASMARAN. As the practice progresses; our vision, perspective, thinking, feelings, motivation, mission and actions evolve; and become rectified, purified and objectively benevolent. Moreover, they become stronger, effective and victorious.

In addition; as our practice of NAMASMARAN progresses, we get inspired, empowered and enabled to spread the global benevolence of NAMASMARAN (JAAP, JIKRA, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN, i.e. remembering our true self); on war footing. Our life is not only fulfilled; but enters the realm of immortality.

SUCCESS FAILURE AND GLORY DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
The examples of “success”, “failure” and “glory of failure” in Total Stress Management can be described as follows.
The first step of success is; recognizing the stress of mortal life; amidst the “volcanic eruption” of unidentifiable metabolic, hormonal, autonomic and central nervous events. It is said that this is in continuation to the history of the past lives.
This very recognition is simultaneously; painful, igniting and motivating. It triggers an impulsive, selfless and ill defined expedition of stress management.
Thus we may fail to be selfish, careerist and rich; if assessed with materialistic yardsticks! Even our simple requirements may not be fulfilled. Moreover; as we are preoccupied in the expedition of understanding the challenge of stress i.e. injustice, sorrow and maladies of life; we may fail to be indifferent; and “enjoy” the celebrations and festivities. This may isolate us from our family, friends; and also; the society!
But in this failure lies the glory of being more loyal to our conscience and hence nearer to our true self.
The second step to success; is; getting the holistic solutions.
But this is not at all easy. It is inevitably associated with internal devastating turmoil and hence failure to be involved; to one’s own satisfaction; in piecemeal solutions and sectarian curriculums (if we are academics); and irrelevant, useless and/or counterproductive day to day work and traditions!
But as a result of this failure; we can make glorious contributions in evolving holistic perspective, policies, plans and programs and their implementation.
The third step to success is; crystallizing and applying i.e. treading the path of Total Stress Management and articulating and sharing the details of the sojourn; with others.
This is often associated with failure to match the popular demands of entertainment and failure in commercial and financial gains.
But the glory of this failure; is in; going successfully through the ordeal of being true to our core. This truthfulness sharpens our perceptions and frees us; from commercial preoccupations; and multiplies the accuracy, potentials and scope of our solutions. This accuracy averts; “being bloated with pride” and precludes “being trapped in” deceptive, hollow and vain glamour, glitter and temptations.
The fourth step to success is in happily accepting the result; as the solutions have their own scope and limitations; even though accepting “not so glamorous result” is difficult.
But even if we succeed in this; it is usually associated with the failure to be overconfident and aggressive; when compared with the aggressive and imposing sectarian forces. This leaves us with “painful guilt” of being passive and defeatist and ineffective!
But the glory of this failure is that; we are out of the rat race; and thus; the subjective, inaccurate and dictatorial elements; within us; begin to decline.
We begin to appreciate the need of greater accuracy and objectivity! We begin to understand that even the attachment and commitment to “our” ideological perceptions and convictions can throttle our true freedom! We begin to appreciate the paramount role of NAMASMARAN in overcoming the subjectivity/ego.
The fifth step of success is; surrendering the endeavors, which we thought as “ours” to the “source” from where they spring!
This kind of surrender is really painful; like death. But even if we succeed in this; we usually fail to project ourselves with so called style and flamboyance. We fail to carry the facades of greatness and impose our leadership through self aggrandizement! This is as painful as stripping our bodies publicly! The stripping of ego; makes us feel empty and low.
But this failure has the glory of being free from; every burden and bondage! Being free of ego; is a unique experience of being naturally connected with others by a sublime bond of love.
The sixth step to the success; is the return to immortal source of the solutions and being immortal!!!
This is obviously not easy. But as we progress; we begin to get glimpses of immortality!
This leads to failure in being “proficient or brilliant” in the activities of mundane affairs!
The glory of this failure however; is “the steady but definite progress in; self realization or a globally benevolent state of reunion; with the immortal cosmic reality; NAMA, BRAHMA or SACCHIDANANDA i.e. SADGURU; through NAMASMARAN (jap, jaap, jikra, sumiran, simaran or remembering one’s true self); at the cost of otherwise worthless mortal life.

THE GIFT OF SADGURU: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
THE GIFT OF SADGURU: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

We have used the word Sadguru to differentiate it from the modern usage of the word guru; implying expertise or mastery in a particular field such as management.
Sadguru is also called Mauli or Mother. Sadguru is like mother; but mother who is immortal and cosmic!
Our mother may or may not teach us; different arts and skills; and may or may not give us; money, fame and power.
But she gives us; birth and enables and empowers us; to sustain life! She enables and empowers us to learn everything we aspire to learn and/or; to earn!
Quite similarly; Sadguru may or may not; teach us the various techniques and crafts! He may or may not; teach us biology or computers. He may or may not; provide us with wealth, popularity and social weightage!
But Sadguru; enlivens us; to the life of life! He reorients us; to our immortal true self! He reinstates us; in our own abode! He enlightens us; to “see” the “hidden” unity and harmony; in the universe! He nurtures us; from the deepest root; of our being! He enkindles us from within!
Sadguru gives; objectivity to our existence and rectifies our vision, ideas, aims, objectives, pursuits and activities! Everything in our life; becomes increasingly unprejudiced, impartial, unbiased, accurate, appropriate and deeply satisfying!
How does Sadguru give all this?
He gives this through and in the form of NAMA that we recite and/or remember. Here; the NAMA does not connote just a name of a God, a saint; a prophet; or a mere concept of god for an atheist); though initially it appears that way!
Actually; it is the ultimate reality, the center of our being, the innermost seed of our existence; the source of omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence; i.e. Sadguru Himself; and this becomes evident as we keep on practicing NAMASMARAN (jap, jaap, jikra, sumiran, simaran, that is; remembering our true self)!

THE GREATEST SERVICE DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
THE GREATEST SERVICE DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

"Your own self-realization is the greatest service you can render the world." ~ Sri Ramana Maharshi

There is no doubt about this; in terms of conviction. This is because; self realization is the pinnacle or perfection; of human development and achievement. It is the core of ultimate bliss. It is the soul of universal aspiration; even though it is not obviously articulated; and just silently throbs in every heart.

But the "self realization" is "known" to us in merely; terms of the two words; self and realization. We do not have any idea about its experience. Thus we "know" it by its absence, by its lack and thus; by missing it! This is; like "knowing water" by virtue of thirst!

Hence; most of the saints, prophets and especially Shri Sadguru Gondavlekar Maharaj have advised us; to go on rendering the world; the "service" at present; easily possible for us; in the form of; practice and promotion of NAMASMARAN (jap, jikra, jaap, sumiran, simaran i.e. remebranace of self) and its globally benevolent; pivotal and powerful role; in holistic renaissance!

This "service" will "promote" us; in the course of time; to realize self; and enable us to "render the world; the "greatest service; !

MARATHI ESSENCE:
"गुरुकडून घेतलेले नाम, पावन करील जगास, हा ठेवावा विश्वास, राम कृपा करील खास."

TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT AND TIME: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT AND TIME: DR. SHRINIWAS
KASHALIKAR

As we study stress; and Total Stress Management; the ‘stress of the passage of time’; strikes our attention! This stress may not be easily noticed as it is a bit subtle.

But the painful and stressful feelings of nostalgia; are often soul stirring and the subject of art and literature!

Can we bring back the golden moments shared with our brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents?

Can we bring back the childhood friends, adolescent love and more mature romance?

Don’t we have this agonizing experience of loss of time; and our inability and helplessness to resist its passage? Don’t we get emotional; while going down the memory lane?

The concept of time is an enigma; a mystery; in several ways.

A continuous process; of changes in the world and in one’s body; stimulates various receptors in different tissues of the body, followed by modifications in neuro-humoral secretions, metabolism and consciousness; associated with them!

As a result; we experience things and events. Further; they last “long” or “short” and become unbearable or absorbing! But they are always fleeting! Time is thus a passing, fleeting or relative reality.

It could also be other way round! The absolute consciousness; may have universal intelligence and universal mind, which are “followed” by the individual consciousness, which brings about; “time determined and time dependent” modifications; in neuro-humoral secretions, metabolism and body!

It is said; that the time, space and the universe (including every being); are contingent in the absolute consciousness.

Can we can verify; if; through NAMASMARAN (the core of Total Stress Management); we can go beyond subjective individual consciousness (ego) and the “stressful helplessness” of playing in the hands of “time” and the three dimensions and engender God’s plan or holistic renaissance?

Putting it other way round; “Is it not the plan of the Absolute consciousness; or God; to free us from the subjectivity; and the shackles of individual consciousness (ego) and the stressful helplessness of playing in the hands of “time” and the three dimensions; by providing the bounty of NAMASMARAN, (JAP, JAAP, JIKRA, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN or remembering the name of God i.e. true self)?

TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Total Stress Management (total well being, holistic health, superliving or holistic renaissance) includes holistic perspective, policies, plans, programs and their honest implementation.

Some of us argue that we (and others) undergo stress because of our past deeds ('poorva-sanchit' or 'prarabdha'); and hence we should accept stress as God’s desire and be happy. This logic is applied to the social evils as well.

They ask;
Can we be happy even if all the material needs are granted? Can they give total fulfillment of life?
The answer is “We may not be happy; and fulfilled; merely by the material pleasures themselves; unless; we are oriented to our true selves.”

Are we not unhappy because of our ego?
The answer is; “Ego is a root cause of unhappiness. But material needs have to be optimally fulfilled; to eventually transcend the ego.”

Isn’t the world UNCHANGED; even when so many great people toiled for its improvement in the past? Aren’t such efforts useless and futile?
The answer is; “It is true that the world appears ‘unchanged’ because; our vision is still shackled in our own biological limitations. But as and when we transcend these limitations; we ‘see’ the benevolence of the great people and their efforts may no more appear futile!”

What is the use of such efforts; if we have to leave everything; when we die?
The answer is; “There is no ‘use’; if look for any ‘use’ in a utilitarian manner; and if we are convinced that we are simply mortal beggars! But this work itself becomes a source of ambrosia for one and all; as we steadily experience our own immortal self!”

Many of us; become either the victims or the causes of STRESS; even if; otherwise they are well meaning, polite, gentle, charitable, innocent, honest and good in general!

For others; Total Stress Management is an essential and holistic expression; of the empowerment and enlightenment of NAMASMARAN; in personal, family, occupational and social life; like oxygen, which they breathe; without any expectations and questions!

They say; "If the social problems are due 'poorva-sanchit' or 'prarabdha', then; our efforts to solve them, impulsively and compulsively; is our 'poorva-sanchit' or 'prarabdha! They say;"Total Stress Management" is an inevitable part of their essential daily routine!"

Interestingly; those practicing, promoting and propagating NAMASMARAN; as well as; those not doing so; actually participate in; Total Stress Management (total well being, holistic health, superliving or holistic renaissance); by contributing; the fervor, motivation and driving force; and analytical, operational and technological skills; respectively.
