A CLOSER LOOK AT CROHN'S DISEASE
Collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease, Crohns and ulcerative colitis produce chronic, uncontrolled inflammation of the intestinal mucosa. The underlying cause of IBD isnt clearly understood but research clearly suggests that bacteria and viruses or proteins ( antibodies) cause the immune system to overreact and produce inflammation in the GI tract. Two known antibodies that are sometimes found in the serum of patients with IBD are antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies( ANCA) and antisaccharomyces cerevisiae antibodies( ASCA). Infact ASCA are diagnostic markers for crohn's disease whereas ANCA are more likely to be identified in the serum of patients with ulcerative colitis. There are other antibodies associated with IBD as well
Crohns disease is seen in young and older adults. Its an inflammatory disorder affecting mostly the distal ileum and colon. The intestinal lining ulcerates and scar tissue develops. Generally seperated by normal tissue, fistulas, fissures, and abscesses form. The wall of the bowel thickens and becomes fibrotic which causes a narrowing of the bowel lumen. Formation of granulomas, inflammatory masses that result from a collection of immune cells called macrophages also occur in many patients. Sometimes the lesions have a cobblestone appearance. A fibrotic bowel with abscesses and granulomas can lead to perforation. Crohns disease results in malabsorption of water and nutrients, which may lead to fluid and electrolyte imbalances. Patients experience abdominal pain and cramping in the right lower quadrant of abdomen, especially after a meal. Inflammation of the bowel mucosa prevents water absorption, and the patient may experience more than 10 bloody diarrhea episode each day. Anorexia, weight loss, cachexia, weakness and fatigue are common. Fever may be present from the inflammatory process or due to infection. Anemia results due to poor dietary intake or poor absorption of vitamins and nutrients. Lesion that bleed may also lead to anemia. Bright red blood may be observed in the stool because of bleeding lesions or excoriation of anal mucosa due to frequency and amount of diarrhea.
Diagnostic endoscopy confirms the presence of intestinal lesions. A barium study of the upper GI tract wil commonly show a constriction of the terminal ileum in the patient with Crohns disease. This constriction is known as the string sign. There are "skip areas" seen unlike what is seen in ulcerative colitis where the lesion is continuous. IBD can mpact other areas of the body in addition to the GI system, including the eyes, liver, joints and skin. Systemic complications that occur in IBD include nephrolithiasis, cholelithiasis and pyelonephritis.

AGONY ECSTASY AND NAMASMARAN DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
AGONY ECSTASY AND NAMASMARAN DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

NAMASMARAN loosens the grip of illness and associated fear, depression, anxiety and worry. It is said that NAMASMARAN lifts us to a position; when we ride over the ailment and are not bothered whether it goes or remains.

I have been learning to apply this same principle to the healing efforts towards social ailments (inseparable from self)...and succeeding also..as per His plan..THE SUPREME CONSTANT BEYOND EVERYTHING BEING NAAM..rest all moving up and down..slow and fast.

NAMASMARAN on a large scale would engender holistic health policies to minimize disease, pain and agony; and develop conditions conducive to individual and global blossoming.

RESTLESSNESS OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
RESTLESSNESS OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

We try to overcome "restlessness of unknown origin" by various means such as shopping, gossiping, chatting, calling, meeting, watching TV and so many things. But..does this; and can this help???

It happens many times; that there is restlessness; but the cause is unknown. Actually the restlessness is an integral and inseparable part of of life. But the solution of this restlessness; viz. NAMASMARAN (JIKRA, JAAP, JAP, NAMA SIMARAN, NAMA SUMIRAN i.e. remembering and reorienting to true self); is also an integral part of life!! Hence, if NAMASMARAN is practiced every time, whenever there is "restlessness of unknown origin"; then one can get increasing satisfaction.

This "restlessness of unknown origin" can vanish though temporarily by other means; but it returns with force; again and again!! But it is always good to verify this potential of NAMASMARAN; by one's own experience!!

Are there any therapeutic, clinical, quantitative and precise studies in this respect?

DISTRESS CYCLE AND NAMASMARAN DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
DISTRESS CYCLE AND NAMASMARAN DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Do we keep on doing things erroneously as a result of wrong cognition (inappropriate identification of needs); leading to wrong affect (pain and dissatisfaction due to disgruntlement) and wrong conation (wrong actions, which do not give fulfillment)?

Yes..more often than not; yes; this is true.

We do not recognize accurately our goal; develop emotional urge or involvement in it; and work (which could give us satisfaction) for that goal!

NAMASMARAN gradually improves our cognition, leading to improved affect (feelings) and improved conation (more accurate and hence satisfactory actions) and breaks the distress cycle and starts liberation (wellness cycle).

This process of liberation (wellness cycle) embodies; "correct cognition" i.e. recognition of our hitherto unrecognized most important need i.e. the only purpose of life; of NAMASMARAN as against many other subordinate needs, "correct affect" i.e. increasing emotional involvement in NAMASMARAN; and "correct conation" i.e. the actual practice of NAMASMARAN.

This need not be believed (or disbelieved!) but verified through study, introspection, practice and one's own experience.

HOLISTIC RENAISSANCE? HOW?: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
HOLISTIC RENAISSANCE? HOW?: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Even as I have all the drawbacks an deficiencies; I have been working in this area for last 30-35 years. My observation is:

1. Obviously false claims of supernatural experiences and pseudo-heroic sermons; preaching to be super-humans (master of SHADRIPUS); without any consideration to holistic perspective, policies, plans, programs; and their implementation; are hyped by media and masses. Actually NAMASMARAN first results in holistic perspective, policies, plans, programs; and their implementation (and at least gradual) realization of individual and global blossoming i.e. HOLISTIC RENAISSANCE. victory on SHADRIPUS is a final stage of VIDEHEE AVASTHA.

2. It is ignored that; just as we unmistakably we satisfy our needs, wants, whims and fancies; (and be happy?); we ought to communicate, interact, complement one another and spread and share this cosmic benevolence in NAMASMARAN (SIMARAN, SUMIRAN, JAAP, JAP, JIKRA i.e. remembrance of trues self) to engender holistic renaissance. We tend to remain in self contentment in our respective traditions and cults. We don't do heart to heart communication and do not give even feedback.

3. My books over 40 and articles over 400; are uploaded for free download on over 200 international free sharing websites; and are translated in 40 international languages(confirmed in google search). But this work is not even a drop in the ocean. Much much much more is required.

As a result; we remain divided and impotent. We don't get a wise and brave government with a holistic perspective; evolved through NAMASMARAN. We don't get government that constitutes laws and rules, abiding which, we can satisfy our conscience and be fulfilled! In stead; we get throttled, suffocated, miserable and unable to survive and hence pushed and forced helplessly; to be law reakers.

EXPERIENCE OF HOLISTIC HEALTH DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
EXPERIENCE OF HOLISTIC HEALTH DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

NAMA is BRAHMA. NAMA is GOD. Through NAMASMARAN spring; the holistic perspective, policies, plans, programs and their implementation. These bring about the individual and global blossoming steadily. Just as we unmistakably satisfy our needs and wants (and be happy?); I get the ecstatic penultimate experience of being myself (HOLISTIC HEALTH); in publishing this; in NAMASMARAN group as well as other hundreds of websites; while simultaneously practicing NAMASMARAN (SIMARAN, SUMIRAN, JAAP, JAP, JIKRA i.e. remembrance of trues self).

BELIEF, SKEPTICISM AND IMMORTALITY: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
BELIEF, SKEPTICISM AND IMMORTALITY: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Many people quote Dr. Jayant Naralikar, Jawaharlal Nehru and our constitution and
1. Advocate scientific temper.
2. Point towards the uselessness or harmfulness of DIKTAT
3. Indicate the experimental findings of statistical insignificance of utility of NAMASMARAN in healing;
and
4. Indicate the reduced rate of crimes in atheist societies.
5. Express skepticism about NAMASMARAN

Following is a brief explanation to the misconception that NAMASMARAN is an unscientific and religious matter and involves (blind) belief in God.

Saint Jnaneshvar (whom I don't want to compare with Dr. Jayant Naralikar and Jawaharlal Nehru or the constitution makers) refers to NAMASMARAN in the ovis 200 to 205 in the ninth chapter of Jnaneshvari. Apart from this most of the saints, including Kabir and Gondavlekar Maharaj; have described the merit of NAMASMARAN; based on their experience; in their works. As regards the effect of NAMASMARAN on healing or other material gains are concerned; the practice of NAMASMARAN does not involve any assurance of any tangible or material gains. As regards the relationship of crime and atheism; it is enough to state that; NAMASMARAN does not involve any kind of belief. It is a practice of negation of pettiness, subjectivity and superficiality. No science or religion can testify or endorse; whether NAMASMARAN can give the realization of immortality; as stated by Saint Jnaneshvar. Its practice is a matter of NOT DIKTAT, but a revelation, choice and golden opportunity.

But, all such frank questions and/or arguments are most welcome. More discussion/explanation about this; can be found; in articles and books; for free download; by google searching "dr. Kashalikar"

HONEST COMMUNICATION: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
HONEST COMMUNICATION: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Internet is a wonderful means of communication. But it is illusory also. We never know the degree of honesty, commitment and dedication; in the material we want to post or the material posted/published by others. It is said that NAMASMARAN (remembrance of true self, sumiran, simaran, jaap, jap, jikra); keeps protecting us from illusions i.e. MAYA.

IMPORTANCE OF SAMYAK: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
IMPORTANCE OF SAMYAK IN LIFE: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Samyak is a Sanskrit word which means, "Perfect, Right, Complete, Enough, Correct, True, accurate." Sanskrit word which means, "eternal truth [completely true]." Sanskrit word which means, "pure." If you get time to read; and if you wish to read; you can get this word; in 30th shloka of 9 th chapter of Shrimat Bhagavat Gita.

samyak-saṃbuddha (Sanskrit). ‘Completely and perfectly awakened’. A term used to emphasize the superiority of Buddhahood when contrasted with the achievement of the other two classes of enlightened persons, namely Arhats and Pratyekabuddhas. Although all attain essentially the same awakening (bodhi), the status of Buddhahood became regarded, particularly in Mahāyāna Buddhism, as much superior by virtue of the compassionate concern for others manifested in the Buddhas' teaching mission. Apart from the fact of discovering the truth for themselves, Buddhas were said to be superior by virtue of their omniscience (sarvajñātā) and their ten special powers (daśa-bala).
