VIOLENCE AND GITA DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
VIOLENCE AND GITA DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

One of the misconceptions about Gita; is that; “Gita advocates violence”.

If we read all the 18 chapters carefully; then it would be clear that Gita considers; any activity in personal and social life conducive to forgetting of one’s immortal ‘true self’; is ADHARMA, self destruction and hence violence. The word “PRANASHYATI” is used in 6th chapter, 9th chapter and also 18th chapter; to clearly imply this meaning.

In practical life also; forgetting one’s larger self that includes father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, teacher, friend and society; is associated with overtly mean, individualistic, ungrateful, mindless, cruel, brutal, barbaric, maniacal and indiscriminate activities including self destruction and killing i.e. violence!

Hence theoretically as well as practically; any intellectual, emotional, instinctual and physical actions conducive to ‘forgetting true self’; is ADHARMA and violence.

Gita asks us to remember and focus on our immortal ‘true self’ so that our behavior remains oriented to self realization. This is called SWADHARMA. Gita teaches us to participate in; ‘DHARMYA YUDDHA’ and conquer the inner and outer forces opposing this! It is DHARMYA-not DHARMA (2.31 and 2.33). It means one, which culminates in DHARMA. DHARMA means individual and universal blossoming; and YUDDHA is struggle.

Thus; Shrimat Bhagavad Gita (the proper way to refer Gita); actually teaches, inspires, empowers and enables us; to triumphantly and victoriously conquer the pettiness, cowardice indolence, fanaticism and violence; inside as well as outside.

WHAT IS NAMASMARAN? DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
WHAT IS NAMASMARAN? DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Apparently; NAMASMARAN (JAAP, JAP, JIKRA, SIMARAN, SUMIRAN, remembering true self); usually embodies; remembering the name of God, Guru, great souls; such as prophets and whatever is considered as holy e.g. planets and stars. It is remembered silently, loudly, along with music, dance, along with breathing, in group or alone. Further, NAMASMARAN is either counted by some means such as fingers, rosary (called TASABI, SMARANI or JAPAMALA), or electronic counter; or practiced without counting. The traditions vary from region to region, religion to religion and tradition to tradition.

The essence is however; the same; to get our physiological and social being; reoriented and reunified; with our true self. It is the pinnacle or culmination of every individual activity and consciousness; and a final common pathway; to objective or cosmic consciousness. It is the YOGA of YOGA; as it is the culmination; of every possible procedure and technique in the hathayoga and in fact; all the activities in the universe; irrespective of traditions, beliefs; including "non believers" (as they may "remember true self" in different way/s). NAMASMARAN (remembering true self or merging with cosmic consciousness); is a meditation of meditation also; because the climax of every form of meditation!

In short NAMASMARAN is a super-bounty of cosmic consciousness for every individual to realize it (cosmic consciousness)! This is truly a super-bounty because a person, who experiences it, rises above petty, sectarian, mercenary, commercial planes and manifests super- transactions in his or her life! Its true and universal benevolence (should not be blindly believed or blindly disbelieved with casual approach); would manifest through its practice by the world; through evolution and consolidation of global conscience!

10 THINGS GREAT MANAGERS DO; EXPLAINED BY A TOPMOST CEO-
1. Maintain cool and sense of humor, especially during a crisis

2. Tell subordinates when they’re shooting themselves in the foot.

3. Be the boss, but behave like a peer. I’ve worked with loads of CEOs who let their egos get the better of them. They act like they’re better than everyone else, are distant and emotionally detached, or flaunt their knowledge and power. That kind of behavior diminishes leaders, makes them seem small, and keeps them from really connecting with people.

4. Let your guard down and really be yourself outside of work. All you really need to do outside of work to build a cohesive team is break some bread, have some refreshments, relax, let your guard down, and be a regular human being. When you get to be really confident, you can be that way all the time. That’s the mark of a great leader.

5. Stand behind and make big bets on people you believe in. One CEO would constantly challenge you and your thinking to the point of being abusive. But once he trusted and believed in you, he put his full weight behind you 100 percent to help you succeed. He’d stand up for you even when he wasn’t sure what the heck you were up to. And he’d give you new functional responsibilities

6. Complement your subordinate’s weaknesses

7. Compliment your employee’s strengths. It takes a strong, confident leader to go out on a limb and tell an employee what they’re great at.

8. Teach the toughest, most painful lessons you’ve ever learned. As a young manager, I once asked my boss’s boss for advice about a promotion I didn’t get. He told me a candid story about the hardest lesson he’d ever learned, the reason he was stuck in his job. He made himself indispensable and didn’t groom his replacement. It was painful for him to share, but it opened my eyes and made a huge difference in my career.

9. Do the right thing. Just about everyone says it, when he said it to you, it meant he trusted you to do just that. He also meant it regardless of status quo or consequences. He had extraordinary faith in that phrase. Now I do too.

10. Do what has to be done, no matter what. It’s a rare executive who jumps on a plane at a moment’s notice to close a deal or gives an impromptu presentation when a potential investor shows up unexpectedly. He just does what has to be done. It’s the mark of a great manager who will find success, that’s for sure.

WHAT IS SUPERLIVING? DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
WHAT IS SUPERLIVING? DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

From early childhood to ripe old age; we are always in dilemmas; such as; which toy to play with, which partner to bond with, which seeds to sow, which shares to invest, which leader to trust, which guru to follow, which policies to adopt! The nature of dilemmas varies at different ages and in different situations.

SUPERLIVING is a continuous, unending and yet fulfilling expedition; of making right choices in increasing number. Thus SUPERLIVING embodies holistic perspective, policies, plans and programs); realizing individual and global blossoming; in spite of opposing forces inside and outside! The core of the SUPERLIVING is; the practice and universalization of; the golden bounty viz. NAMASMARAN (JIKRA, JAAP, JAP, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN i.e. remembrance of true self).

STRESS IN NAMAVISMARAN DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
STRESS IN NAMAVISMARAN DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

If there is a thorn inside, then it hurts badly and the child cries. But if you try to remove it, then it resists and cries more. A sick child refuses to take injection because it is apprehensive about the pain it produces. The list of such instances can be very long; in fact; unending.

The point is simple. If we do not know the cause and nature of our problem; and the efficiency of its solutions, then we tend to despise and reject the solutions.

Today; WE ALL whether medically sick or so called HEALTHY; are in STRESS! Awareness of STRESS is due to "slowed/stunted evolution" of our perceptions, feelings and actions; due to NAMAVISMARAN (forgetting our true self)!

The solution therefore; is "optimum evolution" of these through NAMASMARAN (JIKRA, JAP, JAP, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN, or remembering true self), which is a holistic remedy, a panacea, a golden opportunity; that we are privileged to know about; and practice.

But as we do not know the nature, causes and mechanisms of STRESS; we do not know how NAMASMARAN can help us conquer it! Hence we tend to resent and reject it; as SUPERSTITIOUS!

The answer to "WHY NAMASMARAN?" becomes clear; as and when we go on practicing NAMASMARAN and conquering STRESS; and not merely by discussing. Hence; there is no answer to " WHY SHOULD ONE BELIEVE THIS?".

The answer to “WHEN NAMASMARAN?" is; “NOW AND EVER" as; “sooner the better”!

WHY NAMASMARAN? DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
WHY NAMASMARAN? DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Some say that the poverty, strife and misery; are due to social oppression and injustice by the barbaric, imperialist and fanatic forces; while many others attribute them; to corruption! These views; overlook the deficiencies in one's self; and lead to chaotic movements, protests, and often; indiscriminate violence.

On the other hand there are many theories, which ignore the environment; and attribute the wide spread distress; exclusively; to individual weaknesses. These lead to self abnegation and indiscriminate violence ( in the form of deprivation and/or destruction) towards oneself.

The immortal seers; unanimously proclaim; that; the solution is; the simple and practical process NAMASMARAN (JIKRA, JAP, JAAP, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN, remembering God i.e. our true self); as it has benevolent and emancipating impact on individual as well as the system and society. They actually are in a state of bliss; and envisage; the solution working! They see the billions of people of the world practicing NAMASMARAN and engendering the blossoming of all!

We need not believe this; as there is no proof for this; but the idea of proof itself has its limitations; hence; not disbelieve also; but practice and verify the solution!

Unprecedented events "seen" by visionaries; have no "laboratory or other tangible proofs". They just happen!

STRESS, YAJNYA, SACRIFICE AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
STRESS, YAJNYA, SACRIFICE AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Are Yajnya, sacrifice and namasmaran synonymous?

Yajnya is offering, sacrifice is also offering and NAMASMARAN is also offering!

Yajnya involves offering of different materials with a specified procedure.

Sacrifice also involves offering of possessions including the favorite objects and entities.

Through NAMASMARAN (a kind of Yajnya and sacrifice); one realizes in the course of time; the subjective nature of one’s perspective, thoughts, emotions, instincts and material needs; resulting from the internal and external environment; and drops them (just as snake drops his skin) at the lotus feet of the objective consciousness i.e. guru.

The individual thus gets freed of all exasperating vacillations and agonizing burden (STRESS) of subjectivity; and enters into eternal freedom; while merging with NAMASMARAN. There onwards; he or she; is assured that all his or her aspirations, duties and missions; are no more “his” or “her”. They are the aspirations of the entire universe (cosmic will) and are being taken care of; by objective or cosmic consciousness i.e. Almighty i.e. Guru.

Does this really happen?

It is best to verify!

YAJNYA, SACRIFICE AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
YAJNYA, SACRIFICE AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Are Yajnya, sacrifice and namasmaran synonymous?

Yajnya is offering, sacrifice is also offering and NAMASMARAN is also offering!

Yajnya involves offering of different materials with a specified procedure.

Sacrifice also involves offering of possessions including the near and dear objects and entities.

The NAMASMARAN is a gradual process (of Yajnya and sacrifice) that involves the offering of perspective, thoughts, emotions, passions (instincts); and even the physical needs and existence.

Through NAMASMARAN; one realizes in the course of time; the subjective nature of one’s thoughts, emotions, instincts and material needs; resulting from the internal and external environment; and drops them (just as snake drops his skin) at the lotus feet of the objective consciousness i.e. guru.

The aspirations, duties and missions; no more remain “his” or “her”! They get freed from the subjective attachment, fanaticism, infatuations and frustrations; and blossom; into the aspirations of the entire universe (cosmic will); in true sense.

Does this really happen?

It is best to verify!

YOGA AND STRESS: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
YOGA AND STRESS: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

One of the causes of failure in TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT; is; reducing the concept of yoga; to mere physical postures, breathing techniques, kriyas and dietary control. This trivialized yoga; is hyped, sold and purchased; for petty 'gains' and/or sickening gratification of ego!

This way we cannot manage the individual and global stress; which is in the form of deception, deceit, delirium, delusion, despondency, despair, defeat, degeneration, degradation, destruction and devastation!

However; we need not condemn others or ourselves for this.

In stead; we should use this great opportunity; to explore, understand, appreciate, practice and propagate yoga which is a process of evolving and practicing;
1. The perspective of global unity and harmony,
2. The thoughts and policies of global welfare,
3. Motivation and concern for global welfare,
4. Mutually gratifying and satisfying instincts
5. Activities conducive to individual and universal blossoming;
through; NAMASMARAN; the other measures, procedures and techniques (including those in hathayoga); being adjuvant.
