STRESS AND AGING ROMANTIC: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
STRESS
AND
AGING ROMANTIC

DR.
SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Stress of aging is usually associated with dwindling of efficiency of all the body systems and organs including reproductive system and gonads; and debility, dependence, disease, despondence, despair, decreased income, and dejection; which are frightening. Most importantly this stress makes us indifferent and listless. The romance in our life gets dissipated.

The scenario of aging appears almost unavoidable and insurmountable; to many of us bordering the 40s, 50s and 60s; if we have not yet “enjoyed” or “accomplished” to our satisfaction. This feeling of “much to be enjoyed and achieved; while time is running out” makes us losers and unromantic.

The guides in print and electronic media on fitness, home remedies, diet, exercise, yogasanas, entertainment, hobbies and charitable activities are in plenty. The guidance in all these is valuable for us to improve health, avoid disease, preserve independence, develop fitness, enhance performance, stamina, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, physical form, looks etc. and also engage in philanthropy so as to age romantic. We take regular bath, eat green leafy vegetables and sprouted beans and other nutritionally rich foods, drink cow milk with halad [turmeric] and sunth [dried ginger], practice pranayama, exercises, yogasanas, joyously entertain themselves and others through our hobbies, and do lot of philanthropic work so as to age romantic.

But we have to introspect and find out why we fail to age romantic!

Is it because do not se the relevance; of the holistic perspective, policy making and its implementation; in romance?

Do majority of us tend to think in a sectarian and fragmented manner, (especially when they are not criminals, vicious or bad as such) and lose romance?

Is it because the holistic perspective; is not being studied, understood, assimilated, promoted and propagated adequately; thereby keeping our souls dry and devoid of the ambrosia of romance? If yes; why is this so?

Is this because the holistic perspective is not recognized as the urgent necessity for but our own hearts, souls and conscience; besides the basic needs of billions?

Do we not feel that holistic perspective, policies, programs, plans and their implementation; can quench our innate cores and are equally or even more important than many of our needs?

What is the reason for such unawareness about the dire need of understanding, practice and propagation of holistic perspective, policies, plans, programs and their implementation in revitalizing the sublime romance in us?

What is the reason for the dearth of motivation amongst us; who are apparently intelligent, kind hearted and well meaning; in rejuvenating ourselves with this cosmic romance of holistic perspective?

Is the reason of aging pathetically hidden in our ego, our passionate involvement in our subjective self identity, our strong and selective sentiments about our own bodily, emotional, intellectual and other considerations?

Does our ego prevent us from zealously acquiring and sharing the objective romance?

Do we choose to remain content or unhappy in our subjective “achievements” or “failures” respectively and tend to ignore the sap of the romance of being objectively benevolent?

Are we unable to see the benevolence of objective romance because of undue egoistic apprehension and judgmental attitude; about the “shortcomings or drawbacks” of our partners?

Are we unable to rise above our relationship/s and prejudices, centered on ego and reach out to the romantic core of the other persons?

Do we; more often than not; ridicule and oppose such efforts of sharing objective or holistic romance; actively or passively and overtly or covertly; and knowingly or unknowingly; and boost the ego centered sectarian and retrogressive forces? Do we infect the others also; with our cynicism?

Is it true that frequently our ego is associated with; not merely our material success in terms of popularity, power or prosperity; but even our egalitarianism, and righteousness, thereby rendering us obnoxiously unromantic and repulsive?

Are we unable to penetrate and rise above the “clouds of our ego” and enjoy the “romantic sky of universal unity”?

Is it because we are unable “see” and even strive for the magnanimity of the romance beyond our ego?

Is it because we do not try to realize; the role of holistic and objective wisdom born out of NAMASMARAN; in rejuvenating, revitalizing and reorienting us to our true self which is in continuity with the cosmic romance?

Can we not appreciate the super romance involved in realization of true self and its expression for individual and global blossoming; and thus age romantic?

Don’t we realize that the eternal romance called RUHANI ISHK keeps on blossoming like the unending ambrosia permanently engrained in our brain, and is beyond ego and body capacity?

Don’t we realize that NAMASMARAN and the Total Stress Management (the holistic perspective, policies, programs, planning and their implementation) are vital in aging sublimely and immortally romantic; even if sex hormones, genitals, muscles, which are preliminary and peripheral means or tools of reproduction and initiation of the romance, reduced?

ANGER MANAGEMENT: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
ANGER MANAGEMENT: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Anger is a strange phenomenon! We like it as well as we hate it!

Thus; we feel; though we may not overtly say it; that anger is a sign of liveliness, heroism and even divinity. Thus; we find that anger against injustice, oppression, exploitation, fanaticism, barbarism, inequality, is directly or indirectly; not only justified; but actually adored!

But having said that; we read several examples where anger is condemned and loathed! Thus; the anger that leads to hatred, vengeance, revenge, indiscriminate violence, terrorism and other malicious crimes; is abhorred!

In short; anger is like electricity, which if properly channellized serves constructive purpose and if short circuited, leads to hazards.

If and when the anger within us erupts uncontrollably like a volcano; it manifests in indiscriminate violence in our speech, writing, physical behavior and other transactions. Thus in a spur of moment we may shout, abuse some one in public interview, write harsh letters or articles, physically assault some one, file a suit in a court of law, or actually go further and get involved in worse sociopathic activities.

Thus; if our anger is not managed properly, our otherwise selfless and divine anger against injustice, oppression, exploitation, crimes, corruption etc; may turn into indiscriminate violence against self or the other innocent people at home or in the society. I need not give examples; as they are too obvious.

If our anger related to personal matters, is not managed properly; then we may lose friends, may get distanced from our parents or children, or may get isolated as asocial individuals in the society. We may turn into antisocial or criminal elements in the society and may also; have to be convicted, jailed and punished in accordance with the gravity of the bout of our anger!

Is it not true that we often repent because of unleashing a violent bout of anger on our parents, children, friends or spouse? Mismanaged anger is a source of “avoidable pain, agony and misery” for self and others.

Having seen these hazards of mismanaged anger; it is obvious that anger management is extremely important and essential. We have to mange anger properly so that we or the others; don’t have to suffer and/or repent.

Let us realize that the anger; can not be eradicated. To a greater or lesser extent; it is going to be with us for ever. Hence we should not keep trying to be free from anger! Our anger has to be transformed into objective and benevolent force.

How can we achieve this?

Many steps are described in “SUPERLIVING”; (available on 175 international websites for free download) which lead to; culmination of; every metabolic, endocrine and nervous activity responsible for anger; into “most fulfilling; holistic perspective, thinking, feelings and behavior conducive to individual and universal blossoming!

One may not believe in this but verify oneself!

STRESS AND LAWS: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
STRESS AND LAWS: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

The stress is universal. It is ubiquitous. It is natural. It is inseparable from life. However; if it is not managed properly then it becomes detrimental to individual and global blossoming and even survival. Hence it has to be managed properly.

Stress has been managed in many ways for millennia. The ways of stress management have been changing as the life and the nature of stress have been changing. Since the nature of life is vast and complex the nature of stress is also vast and complex.

Hence the traditions, customs, conventions, commandments, decrees, laws, rules, regulations, administration, etiquettes and manners; on the one hand; and scientific inventions, discoveries, artistic creations and other modes of elevating, exhilarating, entertaining, consoling and soothing life; on the other; have limitations in terms of stress management (even though they have contributed tremendously in stress management; in the past)!

All these ways of stress management however; can be more accurate and effective; in individual and global blossoming (TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT or SUPERLIVING) if they spring from SADHANA (efforts to realize true self); and are coordinated and orchestrated in accordance.

The SADHANA of self realization i.e. merging with; or actually “being the true self” or “being the cosmic consciousness”; enables us to express the enlightenment in every walk of life. These are; the religious and spiritual traditions, customs, conventions, commandments, decrees, laws, rules, regulations, administration, etiquettes, manners, scientific inventions, discoveries, artistic creations and arts; in short; evolving the environment; and bring about blossoming of one and all!

Which is the best SADHANA today?

NAMASMARAN!

But how and why is this not happening even as millions are practicing NAMASMARAN?”

The answer is;

It is true that thousands of people are practicing NAMASMARAN and many of them probably are one with cosmic consciousness and are expressing their enlightenment in various walks of life.

But this is still NOT enough!

The practice of NAMASMARAN has to be really universal and continue to be so; so that the laws, rules, conventions etc governing the universal life (the evolving environment); spring from self realization and become conducive to self realization.

In absence of such universal NAMASMARAN SADHANA; there is imposition of many laws, which are coercive, restrictive, throttling, suffocating and create hindrance to individual and global blossoming on the one hand; and facilitate fiery outbursts against such laws in the form of crimes and violent movements.

Further there is delay and avoidance of laws conducive to individual and global blossoming!

The laws and rules; regarding education, health, agriculture, industries and so on; if born from self realization and conducive to self realization i.e. individual and global blossoming; i.e Total Stress Management; would be for example; as follows:

1. NAMASMARAN be a core of in all types of training and education all over the universe.

2. Holistic health be conceptualized and taught at all the levels; as physical, instinctual, emotional, intellectual states and actions conducive to individual and global blossoming.

3. Holistic medicine be conceptualized as “All that aids in the insight of diagnosis, prognosis and prevention of disease and promotion of holistic health; is medicine" and taught at all the levels.

4. Holistic education be conceived as; all the increasing enlightenment and empowerment of an individual; to contribute to “self and global blossoming”; and be introduced right from the beginning of education.

Further; it would incorporate the productive element e.g. plantation, agriculture, horticulture, vermiculture, sericulture; and/or service element e.g. stitching, wiring, winding, carpentry, plumbing!

5. Holistic education must include condemnation and discrediting of the disastrous and dangerous models of “individualistic and progress” that includes; e.g. unabated felling of trees, excessive production and marketing of personal transport vehicles and barbaric and brutal slaughtering of animals!

6. Laws would discourage production of vehicles of individual transport and promote the production and marketing of the vehicles of public transport.

7. Stepwise ban on the slaughters; while simultaneously promoting production, marketing, supply and availability of several vegetarian options.

8. The “national and global progress” be measured or assessed from parameters of individual and global blossoming and NOT per capita income, GDP, number of mobile phones, TVs, computers, flyovers, two wheelers, four wheelers, five star hotels and so on.

We should not merely believe, disbelieve, imagine, conjecture, or theorize casually; and avoid premature presumptions, prejudices, liking, acceptance, disliking, rejection or respect etc and overcome uncertainty, dilemma, indecision, wavering, and vacillations!

In stead; we should provisionally accept and actually study and practice the contents of TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT and verify for ourselves.

STRESS: THE FIRE: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
STRESS: THE FIRE: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

The fire is called AGNI in Sanskrit. In Ayurveda the AGNI in a living person is attributed great importance. In short; the natural locations of AGNI and its appropriate behavior in these locations is vitally important for physical and mental health.

It is interesting to understand that we all have trillions of cells where the fire is ablaze! This fire is burning continuously! It is associated with thousands of metabolic activities, hormonal activities, neural activities and changes in sensation (perception), homeostatic responses (feelings) and response (behavior).

When this fire ceases to operate; life ends.

But this same fire is associated with the conscious or subconscious restlessness or stress; that embodies physical, instinctual, emotional and intellectual needs, motivation to fulfill those needs and actions! Hence life is inevitably associated with stress; the fire!

The plants and animals live without freedom to consciously control the fire within them. But we the human beings have such freedom! The evolution and expression of this freedom is precisely; what is stress management.

Further; we the human beings can “see” and “experience” the unity and continuity in universe. Hence; we understand and appreciate that; mere attempts to control the fire in an individual is met with failure. This is why; we get charged with the urge, motivation and freedom to regulate the fire within the universe for individual and global blossoming. This is precisely what is Total Stress Management or superliving!

Let us understand that elimination or eradication of stress is not only impossible; but disastrous and suicidal.

The logical culmination of the stress inseparable from life; is the experience of immortal unity of; the seen and unseen universe; and called LIBERATION, MUKTI or NIRVANA.
The ongoing activity in pursuit of this; constituted the earlier form of Total Stress Management or superliving! They have been central in the human civilization for millennia.

When the question of “Why should we participate in the Total Stress Management or superliving” arises; the answer is; “For our own sake”!

NAMASMARAN (the core of Total Stress Management), which is remembering our true SELF; according to our traditions and religious beliefs; as explained extensively in several of my books; therefore has not only to be practiced, but propagated triumphantly, for our own blossoming in as much as that of the others!

HOLISTIC UNDERSTANDING OF CORRUPTION
HOLISTIC UNDERSTANDING OF CORRUPTION: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

The word, corruption is used so extensively and in so many contexts that it’s definition, meaning, significance, causes, mechanisms, dimensions, effects and Total Management have become increasingly complex, ambiguous and obscure!

The corruption; of the political, religious, intellectual, industrial and other leaders in world; can promote and boost the corruption of (besides their stooges and supporters); any individual; in any and every part of the world; and vice verse.

Corruption is usually and wrongly equated with mere financial scams, bribing, kick backs; which constitute “the visible fraction of the iceberg of corruption”!

Hence; let us study the basic concept of corruption!

Actually the corruption and the enormous STRESS produced by it are as ubiquitous as life and the consciousness!

Corruption embodies; degradation of one’s perspective, thoughts, feelings and actions; being influenced by and influencing; the surroundings either consciously or subconsciously; and either knowingly or unknowingly!

Corrupt Perspective

Perspective is like the space of consciousness! Thus the normalcy of this “space” of consciousness i.e. perspective; is being universal! The degree of restriction of that “space of consciousness” i.e. perspective; determines the degree of the suffocation and throttling of consciousness, marking the beginning of stress and corruption!
Thus; the restriction of the space of consciousness (perspective) constitutes separation from nature, world, countries, religions, regions, provinces, sects, linguistic groups, castes, communities, creeds, sects and even our own family and from our true self and embodies corruption and stress!

This disease of corrupted perspective is subtle and hence not easily noticed. Since the medial systems today have not learnt to diagnose and treat the disease viz. “corruption of perspective”; they do not identify and treat this disease, which often inflicts the medical systems themselves!

Sectarian and corrupt perspective makes our thoughts, feelings and actions also increasingly mean, lonely, weak, inert, grumbling, intolerant, inconsiderate, resentful, vindictive and miserably selfish and pathogenic (many times concealed under deceptive glamor and glitter) for ourselves and the society!

The paradigms or premises; of the sectarian supremacy, racial superiority, financial expansionism, religious bigotry and fanaticism and so on (without concern for the well being of the entire world) constitutes corrupt perspective and highly infectious stress!

Corrupt Thinking

The holistic perspective or normal perspective as gets corrupted (diseased and degenerated) gradually becomes increasingly NARROW, sick and sectarian.
From this sick and sectarian soil of corrupt perspective, the sick and sectarian thinking germinates! Everything holistic gets degenerated into everything sick and sectarian! This is corrupt thinking and corrupt rationale; behind the coercive; international, national and local; laws, conventions, traditions, rules, pacts (formed without concern for well being of the entire world)!

Thus the racially discriminating constitutions, the legal discrimination on the basis of castes, legal yet unjust tax system/s to exploit certain section for the benefit of another section, the repressive laws against trade, shops and such commercial activities, the legalized destructive promotion of alcohol, the various laws and rules with respect to special economic zones and so on are examples of “corrupt thinking”! The present sectarian medical and education systems (conspicuously lacking in integration and productive domain respectively) are also glaring examples of corrupt thinking.

The so called corruption (embodying mere financial scams, bribing and even other corrupt activities) is actually crude and superficial symptom of the deeper disease viz. corrupt thinking, which in turn is the crude symptom of deeper disease viz. corrupt perspective!

Corrupt Emotions

The motivation behind the literature, art, media, movies, dramas, and advertisements and so on (serving the sectarian aims, petty objectives, and vested interests ingrained in the above intellectual themes; without concern for the welfare of people at large; or even at the cost of the welfare of people at large) constitute the corruption of emotions and instincts.

In our personal life; one such emotion, which we carry on from childhood; throughout life, is the craze for accolades, awards and honors!

In the course of time; awards accolades and honors become a means of profiteering in many ways apart from euphoria; for us!! They become a means of establishing upper hand, dominance, and sway of one kind or another; on the society. We enjoy this upper hand, dominance, power, which further inflate our ego and give arrogant happiness, which is not easily describable! But all of us have experienced this sense of addicting elation when our ego is boosted!

Corrupt Actions

The actual laws, literature, art forms, media campaigns, movements, and such every activity in different fields; either organized or unorganized (without concern for the welfare of the world; or at the cost of the world) constitutes the corrupt actions.
In personal life; we manipulate to get “prestigious” awards, bribe to get “accolades” and use every irregular means to get “honors”!
Isn’t it true that the degree of our petty greed and our mean addictions like these; in various fields (apart from helplessness and meekness born out of dire needs); determines the extent of financial and other varieties of corruption in our society irrespective of where we live in the world?

Considering the universal expanse of the corruption and the STRESS associated with it; from the brief discussion above, it should be clear how corruption and stress are really ubiquitous i.e. not only outside but inside us as well!!

The roots of the corruption thrive from the faulty perspective, followed by corrupt thoughts, emotions and actions.

Hence the efforts without this insight constitute a phase in the groping crusade against corruption, but can not eradicate the roots of corruption and can not blossom the global perspective and global conscience.

For this i.e. to rectify, repair, restore, regenerate, rejuvenate and effectively blossom the ROOTS of global perspective and global conscience the answer is; to break open the throttling shackles restricting the space of our consciousness and thereby effectively eradicate the corruption of our perspective, thinking, feelings and actions!

This is called HOLISTIC RENAISSANCE, SUPERLIVING i.e. Total Stress Management (the core of which is NAMASMARAN).

Interestingly; the theists practicing, promoting and propagating NAMASMARAN as well as the atheists with clear conscience; without this perspective; also; actually contribute to Total Stress Management (total well being, holistic health, superliving or holistic renaissance). They provide the fervor, motivation and driving force; and analytical, operational and technological capability respectively!

This is because; holistic renaissance or superliving an incoming thing; irrespective of our wish and will!! We understand this if we are fortunate!

Total Stress Management
TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Total Stress Management (total well being, holistic health, superliving or holistic renaissance) includes holistic perspective, policymaking, programs and their implementation; according to one’s spontaneous fervor and capacity.

Some of us argue that we (and others) undergo stress because of our past deeds (poorva-sanchit or prarabdha) and hence we should accept stress as God’s desire and be happy. This logic is applied to the social evils as well! They ask; “Can we be happy even if all the material pleasures are granted? Are not all the material pleasures useless in terms of giving total fulfillment of life? What is the use of pursuing material pleasures? Is not the body that enjoys it also temporary? Are we not unhappy merely because of our ego or the state of our mind? What is the use of Total Stress Management; when all is vanity? Isn’t the world UNCHANGED; even when so many people toiled for its improvement in the past? Aren’t such efforts useless and futile? What is the use of such efforts; if we have to leave everything; when we die?
As there are different constitutions of people; it is natural that many of us are not able to study, think, work and grow out of their shells. They live within the ambit of their personal limitations and their individual physical, instinctual, emotional and intellectual needs. They do not participate in Total Stress Management. Unknowingly or knowingly; they become either the victims or the causes of the STRESS; even as they continue to be well meaning, polite, gentle, good, charitable, innocent, honest etc.

For some of us, Total Stress Management (total well being, holistic health, superliving or holistic renaissance) is an essential and holistic expression of the empowerment and enlightenment of NAMASMARAN in personal, family, occupational and social life. For them; it is like oxygen. Just as they breathe oxygen without any expectations and questions; they participate in Total Stress Management unconditionally.

IMMORTALITY AND HOLISTIC RENAISSANCE
DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
The final culmination of all philosophical, scientific, artistic and other endeavors such as penance; is the realization of immortality.

In turn; this process of realization of immortality is inseparably associated with universal benevolence that is reflected in literature, paintings, music, discoveries, gallantry etc.

In today’s era of globalization; the process of realization of immortality is translated into HOLISTIC RENAISSANCE (Development of perspective, policies, plans, programs and their implementation for individual and global blossoming) i.e. TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT, in which, all the prejudices in ideological, religious and racial divisions; such as spiritual, material, theist, atheist, superstitious, rationalist; etc; go on dissolving.

NAMA AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
NAMA AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
The words such BRHMA seem grand and hence far more appealing than the apparently trivial word NAMA and the seemingly ineffective activity such as NAMASMARAN or remembering of the name of God.

Hence we often tend to undermine the word “NAMA” and “NAMASMARAN”.

We have to appreciate that the ultimate experience of immortality and eternity of BRAHMA cannot be contemplated or acquired by voluntary means.

GURU is an individual, whose consciousness is inseparable from BRAHMA. He opens for us; the same experience; by giving us the full proof “key word” or “code word” for BRAHMA! Or; in other words; the BRAHMA itself motivates us (through the medium of a particular physical frame of GURU); to remember and merge with itself; using that particular word (a particular name); NAMA.

The BRAHMA therefore is implicitly embodied in NAMA and in turn; NAMA is the ultimate, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent truth; BRAHMA.

The activity of NAMASMARAN (often camouflaged by the nature, behavior, flaws and limitations of the individuals practicing it) may appear trivial. But actually, it is a process of reorienting and reuniting with BRAHMA.

Hence all of us (whether we practice NAMASMARAN or not); can rest assured; that NAMA (the trans-temporal reality beyond human conception) would certainly unravel and manifest holistic renaissance; in its own unimaginable and often unprecedented ways. NAMASMARAN enables and empowers us to merge with NAMA and blissfully witness its ongoing COSMIC ORCHESTRA.

STRESS OF ILLNESS: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
STRESS OF ILLNESS: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
How to overcome the stress of diseases?

During our medical student days we read and learned extensively about the symptoms, signs, investigations and treatment of various diseases. We also learned about prevention of diseases. We read slogans like “health for all by 2000” and so on.

But we continue to observe diseases, debility and disability.

In fact; due to the information explosion, we read and see dreadful aspects of diseases and become miserably concerned stressed about physical health.

Our stress is further intensified by contradictory information and health tips given in print and electronic media! We are often agonized by questions such as “Why did I get this disease, even when I never did such and such a thing?” or we become guilt ridden by thoughts such as; “Why did I do that thing and got into this trouble?”

However, this information is fragmentary, biased or deliberately twisted and does not reflect the truth in true sense! Actually life is too vast. Apart from the much dreaded diabetes and heart diseases; there are several problems such as congenital diseases, infectious diseases, handicaps, accidents, natural disasters and personal/social evils/crises resulting from sectarian perspective, policies, plans and programs.

In short, our stress due to the superficial and deceptive information; further compounded by our tubular vision that jeopardizes our ability conquer the problems and we go on mismanaging it!

But let us not despair!

Actually, we have immeasurable and infinite storehouse of vitality inside us, which is not described or highlighted in media and this immense storehouse of globally benevolent potential within us escapes our own attention also; and we assume ourselves to be fickle, frail and fragile.

The best way to overcome the stress of diseases; therefore; is to realize this globally benevolent eternal light within us; and begin to express it to the best of our capacity. The diseases will come and go. But we would never be shattered.

How to realize and express this innate and universally beneficial power?

The answer is; NAMASMARAN!

We have to practice NAMASMARAN; and further; propagate its universal benevolence; which enables and empowers everyone; to live symbiotically and triumphantly; in any given field and in any given circumstance.

STRESS ACCIDENTS AND LOAN POLICIES DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
STRESS ACCIDENTS AND LOAN POLICIES: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
Mismanaged STRESS can cause accidents; directly as well as indirectly. Thus the direct influence of the STRESS is through indisciplined, irresponsible, careless, uncontrolled and haphazard driving. The indirect influence of mismanaged STRESS is through the ad hoc, populist, indisciplined, irresponsible, careless, uncontrolled and haphazard decision, policy making, plans, programs and their implementation.

It is true that at young age; we feel like riding bicycles, scooters, motor cycles and cars. There is a craze of riding and racing on a vehicle. There is attraction for speed.

(The horse, donkey, camel, elephant and even buffalo riding are popular. But the number of animals is dwindling due unabated slaughter and devouring of animals. Moreover; the margins of profits are possibly not as attractive as in the vehicle industries and trades. Hence there is no promotion and/or hype of these. Naturally; these rides are rapidly becoming extinct.)

In general the policies and programs of the governments, industries, traders, banks, advertisers and the entertainment business; revolve around natural and artificially created crazes (based on biological instincts and emotions). They revolve around the craze of riding, speeding and racing; irrespective of its consequences! They revolve around the glamour, glitter, pomp, style, trend, fashion and “one up man” ship. They revolve around impressing the others!

Thus; the government policies, industries, trades, banks, advertising and entertainment business; complement one another; in capitalizing and on such crazes and creating social hazard and menace! Hence there are the policies of excessive import and unmanageably infinite production of cars, motor cycles, scooters etc.; promotion, provision of easy and soft loans, marketing, creation of hype, style statement, fashion, and morbidly excessive and artificially created hysterical demand!

This is the effect of the mismanaged STRESS of policy and decision makers, in different fields!

It leads to excessive increase in personal vehicles, leading to all the STRESS of traffic jams, pollution; and accidents; in spite of ad hoc and piecemeal measures such as increasing traffic police, stringent traffic rules, compulsion of helmets etc.!

The root of the problem viz. Complementarity and cooperation of forces; increasing the number of private and personal vehicles on the road; in preference to the public vehicles of mass transport; can be largely overcome by;

1) Adequate production and promotion (in terms of quality and quantity) of vehicles of mass transport such as buses and easily available low interest (easily affordable) loans; for the purchase and use of buses as compared to and in preference to private cars, and two wheelers

2) Normalizing of the disastrously excessive production and promotion of private and personal vehicles including two wheelers

This can have some rectifying influence in terms of preferential purchase of buses and running public undertakings and private businesses of mass (bus) transport. The number of vehicles on road would reduce and the major STRESS would be largely overcome. The wellness cycle would begin.

Loan policy to reduce personal vehicles and promote vehicles of mass transport; is not merely complementary to all the precautions every body related to automobile industry and road transport; such as the car owners, drivers, pedestrians and the traffic police should take. In addition; being holistic and accurate; the impact of this policy is far more extensive; than any individual, departmental or institutional precautions, taken in isolation.

Everything done to reduce personal vehicles; and promote vehicles of mass transport; is one of the globally beneficial decisions, policies, plans and programs; of the Total Stress Management (the core of which is NAMASMARAN); and its propagation and implementation are also included in Total Stress Management.
