MEDICAL EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY: DOMAINS AND HOLISTIC BLOSSOMING: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
MEDICAL EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY: DOMAINS AND HOLISTIC BLOSSOMING: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

In Medical Education Technology there is a discussion on three domains of education. These are cognitive, affective and psychomotor.

However it has to be appreciated that these do not include the physical needs and instincts and their role in teaching and learning! They also do not pay attention to economic, linguistic, cultural, political and several other factors influencing the education. Moreover; all these domains are not water tight compartments and they influence one another.

For example; if my perception (cognitive domain) is defective then my view point can become sectarian and prejudiced (affective domain) and my actions such as speech (psychomotor domain) can be deteriorated.

All three domains therefore must blossom in a holistic and unified/integrated manner.

But it is obvious that we cannot influence the quality of our thinking, feelings, our passions and our actions! Hence how much ever we preach or pledge; we cannot bring about holistic blossoming of all the three of our domains!
Coming to affective domain in particular; we belonging to the medical fraternity; know that restriction; on breathing, sleep, drinking, eating, defecation, urination etc; causes severe STRESS.

But most of us do not recognize the STRESS caused by the self imposed restriction on assertion of our conscience, our inner voice or the prompting of our soul. Hence we do not assert our conscience.

But it is not that we do not like to assert our conscience. The problem is; we are unable to listen to our inner voice; amidst the cacophony of our own sensations, instincts, feelings and thoughts! In fact we are stupefied by all these!

However; there is nothing to despair!

There is a key provided by the great seers and spiritual leaders of the world the enlightened geniuses all over the world; for such holistic blossoming of not only all the domains but nook and corner of our personality; and to enable ourselves; to listen to our inner voice and empower ourselves and to assert it! It is NAMASMARAN and is in vogue for millennia! It has been a part of majority of the world religions also. It is called NAMASMARAN (JAP, JAAP, JIKRA, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN; which embodies remembering the name of God; implying our true self.

However; we all (not merely medical fraternity) still seem to be oblivious to its scope and potential in engendering holistic renaissance, in universal benevolence; in awakening us to our conscience, in overcoming our subjectivity, whims and fancies; and in listening to the voice of conscience and assert it!

If we all; but especially those belonging to the medical and paramedical fraternity; realize its scope and potential and stop trivializing it (as something dealing with individual salvation), then we won’t be diffident and lethargic; in not only asserting our conscience; and nurturing our affective domain; but also including it in medical education technology for the holistic blossoming of our total personality! We would practice NAMASMARAN, preach it to our patients and globalize it for the benefit of the mankind.

It appears that this is an incoming thing; and is indeed a victory (VIJAY) of the ultimate and trans-temporal truth NAMA (Guru)!

NAMAVIJAY28: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Can we separate ourselves from our sensory perceptions and experiences and the pains and pleasures born out of them? Can we isolate ourselves from our characteristic constitution and specific likes and dislikes? In other words; can we unshackle ourselves from the subjectivity with which we are shackled? Can we purify ourselves from the “I” i.e. ego, with which we are amalgamated?

Not only this endeavor; but the very idea of this endeavor is unbearable!

Hence; even the greatest ever seers, who themselves were free from ego; were totally objective and who in true sense are immortal; have not advocated us to arbitrarily try this!

However; by very nature; they are profoundly kind and generous and hence provided us with the activity of NAMASMARAN, which automatically catalyzes our holistic evolution! They have assured us that through NAMASMARAN we can conquer the transient pains and pleasures; associated with mortal subjectivity, pettiness and weakness.

This providence; in spite of our drawbacks; is NAMAVIJAY - the victory (VIJAY) of the ultimate truth i.e. NAMA (Guru), which keeps manifesting through enlightened seers all over the world!

NAMAVIJAY27: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
NAMAVIJAY27: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

If we love someone intensely, then we say he is close to our heart. Since Guru is the very core of our heart and soul; there no doubt that we love him maximally! But interestingly; firstly; he is not easily accessible to us, he does not communicate with us (in fact we don’t understand what he prompts us from within) and he is not confined to our heart! He is the core of every being! Guru is the same as true self, truth, God or NAMA.

In personal life as well as our social and professional life; when myriads of our activities going on consciously, subconsciously and unconsciously; serve to fulfill our innate core (Guru); it is success.

But; due to inaccessibility and lack of communication; with our innate core (Guru); this is not very easy! We have problem in knowing what he desires from us; and moreover; even if we come to know it; we don’t have significant control (even though we assume it) over our conscious, subconscious and unconscious thoughts, feelings and actions!

But the bounty of our Guru is a victorious global spring in the form of global mega process of NAMASMARAN! It cannot be resisted! It has made it possible for us; to listen as well as to follow the innate prompting from Guru and achieve individual and universal blossoming!

Is this not a time to celebrate this global victory (VIJAY) of NAMA i.e. NAMAVIJAY!

NAMAVIJAY26 DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Some of us are indulging in or waiting for; different things we are interested in! But what about “the spring”, which would rejuvenate, revitalize and blossom; all of us? As and when are unaware of this global spring; we are not excited to welcome it whole heartedly and celebrate its arrival!

However some of us sense this incoming global spring that is spreading in every nook and corner of our being and in every nook and corner of the world!

These harbingers of the global spring are excited and thrilled by the signals of this spring; and hence are unable to keep it a secret! They are unable to live without expressing it in one way or another!

Some of them are singing about it, some are painting about it; and some are expressing it through dance and theatre. Some are writing essays on it, some are depicting it in poetry and some are making movies on it! Many are sharing their joy on internet and social media and several others are simply talking about it amongst friends. In fact everybody is sharing this exciting news with one another!

What is this global spring? This is nothing else but the incoming mega process of NAMASMARAN, JAP, JAAP, JIKRA, SIMARAN, SUMIRAN i.e. remembering one’s self (for atheists) and God (for the theists)!

The very hint itself of this global spring is enlivening! Neither the emergence of this global spring nor its hint is our success! It is the success (VIJAY) of the ultimate truth Guru (NAMA) and hence this is NAMAVIJAY!

QUOTIENT OF SATISFACTION (QOS): DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
QUOTIENT OF SATISFACTION (QOS): DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Quotient of satisfaction (QOS) is a ratio of; the extent of satisfaction to the amount of efforts put in.

It is true that both; the amount of our satisfaction and the amount of efforts put in by us; cannot be ‘measured’ exactly in routine units! This is because the evaluation of the satisfaction and the efforts; is more a matter of subjective perception; than laboratory investigation or assessment.

Nevertheless; both our satisfaction and our efforts; are a concrete reality and not ambiguous or illusory phenomena. Hence; they can certainly be ‘quantified’ by us!

The satisfaction can be measured by virtue of physiological symptoms and signs (such as those resulting from the autonomic nervous system stimulation); and efforts can be measured in terms of time, energy and money spent by us; respectively.
Besides the symptoms and signs; the satisfaction can be roughly gauged by the subjective perception of intensity and duration of satisfaction; and the number of people involved in it. The efforts can be gauged by the perception of the difficulty, strain, pain and stress; besides the time, energy and money.

This understanding although in different semantics; is a universal legacy passed on to us through generation to generation; by our ancestors; world over! They have observed and experienced that NAMASMARAN, JAP, JAAP, SIMARAN, SUMIRAN i.e. remembering one’s self (for atheists) and God (for the theists); is a key to multiplying the QOS; in every moment and in every activity of life.

Whether this holds true for us or not; can be and has to be verified; and not merely believed or disbelieved!

NAMAVIJAY25: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
NAMAVIJAY25: DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Is there any problem with the world?

Apparently there is a problem; in terms of lack of unity and harmony! But this problem is very much there inside us as well!

We have no unity and harmony inside us!

There is a chaos and cacophony inside; going on for ages!

We think there is no love, compassion, justice and so on; in the world. But there is no love, compassion and justice within us as well!

This can be proved, if we consider the anger, hatred, jealousy, ruthlessness, callousness, guilt, revengefulness, anxiety, restlessness, fear and so on; inside us; and which harm us!

Hence the enlightened people from all over the world advocate a holistic approach! They prescribe an action that can heal us from within; by purifying us of the above said harmful elements; and thereby enable us to create an environment (through holistic perspective, policies, plans, programs and their implementation) conducive to such healing in the society.

The action advocated by this enlightening wisdom spread all over the world, is called NAMASMARAN, JIKRA, SIMARAN, SUMIRAN, JAP, JAAP and so on! This action is simple and universal. It actually implies reorientation to our innate core, realization of the true self and release of the pure nectar from there that heals us as well as the whole world as stated above!

Since this wisdom has originated from the ultimate truth viz. NAMA (and not matter, energy, space and time) and descended through different persons; this process of global enlightenment is; victory (VIJAY) of NAMA i.e. NAMAVIJAY!

NAMAVIJAY1: DR. SHRINIWAS JANARDAN KASHALIKAR
NAMAVIJAY1: DR. SHRINIWAS JANARDAN KASHALIKAR

When I am confined to body, instincts, feelings and thoughts related to friends, relatives; status, institution, organization, party, country etc; it is a realm of individual, personal or subjective state! In this state I have urge not only to survive but to do everything possible to flourish, be powerful and dominate others!

In this state I go through the cycles of excitation and depression. But irrespective of the grandeur of the success or failure and achievement or loss; I always remain weak and unsatisfied. I am always plagued by fear, anxiety, worry, anger, grief, guilt, elation and so on!

I remain; a mortal, ordinary, subjective and hence fallible creature in obliviousness to NAMA, which is the deepest ocean of bliss beyond my body, instincts, feelings and thoughts related to friends, relatives; status, institution, organization, party, country etc! NAMA is beyond the realm of individual, personal or subjective state! It is truly all powerful, it is universal and it is unifying.

Being associated with this omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent bliss viz. NAMA; is the grace of NAMA (Guru) and is victory (VIJAY) of NAMA and hence we call it NAMAVIJAY!

NAMAVIJAY2: DR. SHRINIWAS JANARDAN KASHALIKAR
NAMAVIJAY2: DR. SHRINIWAS JANARDAN KASHALIKAR

When I get up in the morning, the stiffness of the body and weakness of mind make me miserable. I yearn for physical care and mental pep up!

Remembrance of NAMA, though not easy and spontaneous; connects me to the reservoir of the eternal energy! I realize that expectation of physical care or pep talk; for my petty self is not truly remedial. It is actually counterproductive as these temporary and superficial measures make me weaker and dependent.

In spite of my indolence; someone pulls me out of it and connects me with NAMA! Who is He? He is the omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent ocean of bliss deep within i.e. my Guru i.e. NAMA itself! Thus; my being associated with this empowering remembrance of NAMA; is not my victory (VIJAY); but it is the grace and victory (VIJAY) of NAMA (Guru) itself!
Hence this is NAMAVIJAY!
