Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) or Steele- Richardson Olszewski Syndrome is a neurodegenerative condition affecting brainstem and basal ganglia. Often misdiagnosed as Parkinsons Disease. It is characterized by supranuclear ophthalmoplegia, pseudobulbar palsy, axial rigidity and mild dementia. Diagnosis is usually clinical and treatment is usually supportive.
