DISTRESS CYCLE AND NAMASMARAN DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
DISTRESS CYCLE AND NAMASMARAN DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

Do we keep on doing things erroneously as a result of wrong cognition (inappropriate identification of needs); leading to wrong affect (pain and dissatisfaction due to disgruntlement) and wrong conation (wrong actions, which do not give fulfillment)?

Yes..more often than not; yes; this is true.

We do not recognize accurately our goal; develop emotional urge or involvement in it; and work (which could give us satisfaction) for that goal!

NAMASMARAN gradually improves our cognition, leading to improved affect (feelings) and improved conation (more accurate and hence satisfactory actions) and breaks the distress cycle and starts liberation (wellness cycle).

This process of liberation (wellness cycle) embodies; "correct cognition" i.e. recognition of our hitherto unrecognized most important need i.e. the only purpose of life; of NAMASMARAN as against many other subordinate needs, "correct affect" i.e. increasing emotional involvement in NAMASMARAN; and "correct conation" i.e. the actual practice of NAMASMARAN.

This need not be believed (or disbelieved!) but verified through study, introspection, practice and one's own experience.
