THEORY AND PRACTICE DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

I have realized that; often; while reading any particular matter about NAMA; I feel; "I already know this" or "this is obvious". This is theoretically true. Hence I unknowingly become casual or even condescending in my approach!! This is suicidal; as actually and practically; my "knowing" and "feeling obvious" are deceptive; and I am far from "internalizing", "realizing" and "expressing" the infinite and eternal ambrosia; inherent to NAMA.

MARATHI ESSENCE:
मी जेव्हा नामाबद्दल वाचतो; तेव्हा बर्‍याचदा मला; "मला हे माहीत आहे", "हे तर अगदीच स्पष्ट (ओबव्हियस) आहे"; अस वाटत.
तर्कदृष्ट्या ते चुकीचही नसत!! यामुळे मी काहीसा जादा शहाना बनतो!! हे घातक आहे. आत्मघातकी आहे!!
कारण नामाच अनंत सामर्थ्य माझ्या अंतरंगात स्फुरलेल नाही वा माझ्या आचार विचारात प्रगट झालेल नाही.

मै जब नाम के बारे मे कुछ पढ़ता हूँ; तब मुझे लगता है की यह मुझे मालूम है, और यह एकदम आसान है.
तर्क दृष्टीसे देखे तो यह गलत भी नही है. लेकिन इससे होता यह है की मेरा ध्यान नामसे हटता है, और मै अपने आपको; बाकी लोंगोंसे बड़ा समझने लगता हूँ.

यह आत्मवंचना है!! यह आत्मघात है!!
प्रत्यक्श रूपसे नाम क़ा अमृत और नाम की अनंत शक्ती मेरे हृदयमे; अभी जागी नही है और मेरे जीवन मे प्रगट भी नही हुई है.

I am a poor person. I am uneducated and I am unwell.
How can I help others; through money, education, food etc?
How can I be benevolent?

Truly benevolent activity is that, in which there is no loser. Every one is winner. There is no deception or self deception. There is no harm to self or others. There is injustice to self or others. In fact there is individual global blossoming and realization of immortal truth!

Such truly benevolent activity easily possible for any body and everybody; advised by the immortal visionaries; is; NAMASMARAN (JAP, JIKRA, JAAP, JAP, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN i.e. remembrance of true self).
Just as oxygen is essential for survival; NAMASMARAN (JAP, JIKRA, JAAP, JAP, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN i.e. remembrance of true self); is essential for true fulfillment as human being.

पैसा, अन्न, विद्या, शारीरिक सेवा याना मर्यादा असतात. मीच गरीब, अडाणी आणि आजारी असेंन तर कोणते सत्कार्य आणि कसे करावे?

ज्या कार्यात आपण फसत नाही, ज्यामध्ये पश्चात्ताप होत नाही, ज्यामध्ये कोणताही धोका/विषारी परिणाम नाहीत, तसेच ज्यामुळे कुणाचेही नुकसान होत नाही, कुणावर अन्याय होत नाही; ते सत्कार्य. किंबहुना ज्याच्याद्वारे स्वत:चे व संपूर्ण विश्वाचे कल्याण (यत्किन्चित प्रमाणात का असेना); साध्य होते; ते सत्कार्य. ज्याद्वारे आपण सत्य जाणतो, आणि सत्स्वरूप होतो; ते सत्कार्य!

आपण कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत असलो तरी; असे जे सत्कार्य करू शकतो; ते अजरामर झालेल्या महापुरुशानी जाणून; आपले अन्तर्याम ओळखण्यासाठी; आणि अंतरयामीचे सामर्थ्य मिळवून स्रुजनशीलता प्रगट करण्यासाठी; नामस्मरणाचा (जप, जाप, सुमीरण, सिमाराण, जिक्र; म्हणजेच परमात्मसमरणाचा) मार्ग दाखविला.

जगण्यासाठी प्राण वायू जसा अत्यावश्यक आहे; तसे मनुष्य जीवन कृतार्थ करण्यासाठी नामस्मरणाद्वारे अंतरयामीचे नवचैतन्य मिळवणे आणि आपल्या सदसद्विवेक बुद्धीला न्याय देणे; अत्यावश्यक आहे.

Even as the psychiatrists, psychologists and clinical counselors deal with depression; the menace of depression is going beyond their capacity to handle. (Recently there was a case of clinical counselor; herself committing suicide)!

We get depressed even if we are “successful” i.e. we are rich, famous, popular and politically powerful; as we are hollow within; as we don't justify our conscience. Even though various reactions and events in our own body and mind, and the incidences in the surroundings; are penultimate causes of our depression; the basic process of depression; is forgetfulness, obliviousness, ignorance, apathy and abnegation of our own conscience and our true self!

Since depression; is in essence; due to self forgetfulness and self abnegation; the most important solution as proclaimed by the immortal masters and sages; is NAMASMARAN (JAP, JAAP, JIKRA, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN, remembering, identifying, confirming our true self and assert it; in spite of all adversities; and conquer depression!
In other words; Just as oxygen is essential right from conception; for survival; NAMA is essential for recognition of the value of our survival; and fulfillment of life as human being.

Hair transplantation: one of the solutions for hair loss
“Baldness” is the term used to describe the state of lack of hair on the head and androgenetic alopecia is the commonest cause of baldness. Approximately 50% of men are affected by the age of 50 years. One of the hallmarks of androgenetic alopecia is the conversion of thick terminal hairs into miniaturized; extremely thin (vellus) hairs. This process of miniaturization (i.e., shrinking of hair volume and growth length) is usually an indication that one is undergoing hair loss. The main mechanism for miniaturization relates to the shortening of the growth phase, i.e., the hair becomes “lazy” and does not grow to its full term. It typically begins in the frontal scalp and the vertex (crown area).
A significant proportion of women also suffer from hair loss. Unlike men, hair loss in females does not have any social acceptance. The chief complaint of women with female pattern hair loss (FPHL) is the ‘see through’ appearance of frontal hairline. These women suffer in silence for years together. The causes of hair loss in females can be: Female patterned hair loss (FPHL), telogen effluvium, hormonal imbalance, poor diet, diffuse alopecia areata. The progression hair loss in females (FPHL) is different from that of men. They experience diffuse thinning with no bald regions. Their frontal hairlines are relatively stable.

Hair transplantation is a cosmetic surgery which provides extra hair ranging in number from 1000 to 5000 to the bald scalp. The hairs along with the roots (follicular units) are taken from the back of scalp and are transplanted on to bald area on the frontal scalp and the vertex. The modern methods of hair transplantation involve transplantation of individual follicular units and provide completely natural appearance. These hairs remain life-long. They grow and undergo cutting just like natural hair. However, the progression of baldness is not arrested after surgery and the transplanted hair grow after 3-4 months. A combination of medicines and surgery thus provides the best final result. There are two methods of surgery:

Follicular unit transplantation (FUT): A horizontal strip, 1-2 cm wide and 10-20 cm long is harvested from the back of head, and dissected under stereomicroscopes to yield follicular units. It leaves a single linear scar hidden by the hair at the back of head.
Follicular unit extraction (FUE): The individual follicular units are harvested from the back and are then transplanted on to the frontal bald area. This propels the field of HT surgery one step closer to the elite minimally invasive status.

DHT (direct hair transplantation) is the latest innovation in the existing FUE technique. The idea behind DHT has been conceived and implemented by us at National Skin Clinic, Dehradun. It promises to yield better results

Even if we are selfish as we are during our childhood, youth and even middle and old age; we need not feel guilty (though we certainly should not feel justified and proud) about it. Even if we practice NAMASMARAN for some petty gains initially; such as money, power, fame etc; latter on these become redundant. We start getting the revitalizing experience of self realization called GURUKRUPA. Gradually our passions, instincts, passions, emotions, thoughts, perspective blossom to be pure and objective. Creative and benevolent influence in terms of individual and global blossoming manifests; though not exactly predictably and as per our subjective desire or expectation.

सुरुवातीला जरी अडचणी, त्रास, संकटे दूर व्हावी म्हणून किंवा अधिकाधिक सुख, अधिकार, पैसा मिळावा म्हणून नामस्मरण केले तरी पुढे पुढे ह्या सर्व बाबी बाजूला पडतात आणि गुरुक्रुपेचा (आत्मामृतानुभवाचा) अनुभव येतो. नामस्मरणाने सहज प्रवृत्ती, वासना, भावना, संकल्प, विचार आणि दृष्टिकोन शुद्ध आणि विकसित होतात व वैयक्तिक आणि वैश्विक कल्याण प्रत्यक्षात येते (पण अगदी अपेक्षा केल्याप्रमाणे किंवा अगदीच सुलभतेने नव्हे)!
